This review is far overdue but goes to show how amazing this restaurant is. My husband and I first dined here shortly after it opened. With such a delicious sounding menu we weren?t sure what to order but the waiter (may have been the owner) was happy tomake suggestions. We took all of the suggestions and weren?t the slightest bit disappointed. Everything was amazing. Theservicing sizes were large as well so we took home leftovers to enjoy all over again. The staff was also incredibly helpful andpolite. It sounded like they had big plans for bringing in entertainment. Expansive menu, many options for every eating type and spice level, lovely space (high ceilings, rustic, historic building). We remarked that we liked a particular meal, the owner's son said that is what he had for lunch but it wasn't on the menu. He excused himself and went to ask if there was any left, but there was not. He made excellent suggestions and the meal was beyond lovely. Perfect portion sizes and the naan...excellent! Reasonable price. Great value! The service was prompt and pleasant, the owner's son sat and chatted briefly and came back to check on us at the end of the meal. He is obviously passionate about his restaurant and community. I'm in love with this restaurant. It was my last day in Cranbrook and I needed somewhere to eat while I had to make some very important calls. While I worked on my problems, I had some incredibly delicious lamb, rice, naan, and some sweets for dessert.The food was cooked to perfection and I enjoyed every bite. What more, even though I had to be on the phone to resolve somepretty important problems, the owner let me sit at the restaurant for a few hours and served me mug after mug of delicious milktea. I am absolutely blown away by the food, the service, and the kindness I was shown here. I strongly recommend thisrestaurant to everyone and anyone.
My friends and I are on a ski vacation and had a wonderful experience at this Indian restaurant. Their late hours were perfect for us since we arrived in town late after a long drive. The food was outstanding; I highly recommend the Rogan josh, although everything we tried was delicious. The restaurant was quite empty, which allowed the owner, Bobby, to take his time recommending dishes and sharing stories about his life in Kashmir. It made for a truly enjoyable evening. During our recent ski trip to Fernie, we decided to explore the town and asked for recommendations. We were greeted with warmth by the staff, who offered excellent suggestions from the menu. Their personal favorites quickly became ours as well, and we appreciated the attentive service. The menu is quite extensive, and each dish was thoughtfully prepared and bursting with flavor. It was the perfect meal to end a long day on the slopes.
This place is great. It's smalll and intimate. We were served by the owner who was very friendly and helpful. We had a group of 6 and asked the owner if he could just assemble a set of dishes for us and he came through in a big way. Just the right amount of food all of which was tasty and high quality. Just a great experience overall.

Came for the first time this week, and I was blown away by the food! I had a paneer curry and pakoras, everything tasted homemade and fresh. Huge vegetarian menu, and the drinks were also excellent! Really disappointing. We checked in the afternoon to be told they’d be open until 9 pm. So we went along at 7.15pm…..and were told it had closed at 7 pm. No excuse for that!
