I have visited this restaurant of the Hippopotamus chain several times when staying in the area for business. The restaurant has been renovated recently, waitresses and waiters are usually friendly. Although the choice of different meats on the menu is huge and looks very inviting, taste and quality unfortunately could be better. Meat seems to be cooked on a greasy oily grill (no matter if steaks or burger), portions are small compared to their price and the sides are of low quality (thin fries, oven potato either over- or undercooked, green beans from the freezer). Was here a few years ago and my opinion was the same. This is a chain steak house but I see it more as a burger place. They also offer bunless burgers that come in a little pan with toppings and melted cheese. The onion soup is also great. The menu's are in French but there is a QR code on it to get the menu in English which is much appreciated. My only issue was that the server, although friendly, was very slow.
I like this chain of Restaurants. I am a keen Steak Lover and it agrees with my low carb diet. Service is pretty good and this location is no exception. As well as catering for the more leisurely diners it can also deliver a speedy wholesome meal to busy works with little time to spare. A welcome and sort after establishment during a busy work trip.
Staff could’ve been a little more attentive. Food was good, and it’s a great location. Had to ask 3 times for our check and the waitress kept taking orders while intentionally making us wait. Food was worth giving them a second chance.

Average service and food. Steak was cold despite arriving shortly after order. Fries were cold. Sauce with steak was cold. Left waiting 20 minutes for service. We didn't realise it was part of a chain. Very disappointing.
Steak house with nice salads. I usually eat a good steak at hippopotamus. This rime I tried a salad that was very good. The coup de coeur formula: main dish, dessert and drink at a nice price. Good quality food.
The atmosphere and decor was great. The waitress was very slow and not attentive, a manager came over and was able to help us, he was terrific. Meals were delicious and offer some true French meals.
Restaurant very close to the Courtyard hotel.Nice to sit outside in the sun. Had quite a fatty rib eye steak with pepper sauce. Good service in a busy restaurant.
