We happened to find ourselves in Burough Market around lunchtime we were actually looking for another place recommended by trip advisor but were not having any luck). After looking around the market at all the food places, we gave up and left. We then found a side street near the market and stumbled across Hobbs. There was a large crowd of people in front always a good sign) but the line was short. We decided to give it a shot and am I glad we did! This is the type of place that does only a few things but does them well. We had 2 bbq pulled pork sandwiches with coleslaw and they were heavenly! The only down side was that they don't sell drinks, but there was a newstand around the corner that...
This was our second visit to Hobbs. The first midweek last September when work on the Borough Market was still in full swing. We had to que for ages then but the wait was well worth it. This visit in August on a Saturday we thought we would have a look but if the que was too bad we would eat else where. No que at all. Oh our lucks in . Well to be honest it was not great. The meat was just about warm and no where the standard of last year. Hence No Que. Come on Hobbs you can do better . !
We walked around loads of food stalls and just couldn't decide, til my hubby spied Hobbs. I got a beef brisket roll and Jim got a pork one. Both were smashing, filling and hot. Just what we needed, on a chilly Saturday in Jan. £10 for the two. The girlies serving were nice and friendly, making the whole transaction relaxed and easy. Would return in the future no problem. Certainly tasty!
I've been here twice and will come back for more! In love with the pulled pork with apple mustard sauce, bacon and sourdough bread. There were so much filling which i love!! They are so generous with the portion and the price. Highly recommend! Also they take €€€ so it would be a bonus for tourists.

Great BBQ meat sandwiches. Tried the salt beef and the pork with stuffing and apple sauce. Both very good. Several others to choose from as well. Choice of baguette or crostini, either freshly baked and perfect with the meat.
I went to hobbs with my children and they absolutely loved it ! We all got a mixed wrap with falafel and halloumi. The food was so good and the girls were all really lovely . Would recommend for families
Pulled pork rolls and wraps for lunch in Borough markey lovely. The lady serving was very friendly, and service was good. The pork rolls were very big great value for money. Highly recommend!
We to Hobbs meat stall in the market and you can not get a better pork roll or wrap . The roadhouse was fantastic and standing on miss Jones doorstep to eat it.
