I had the 200g lite prime rib option but I guess that meant light on the salad and potato too, leaving me hungry. And that was after sharing the crumbed mushies with my daughter. It's disappointing to spend over $30 for your meal and leave hungry. I could have spent less at our nearby hotel and had plenty to eat. As to the prime rib it was lovely but nearly cold. The mashed potato could have been a bit dryer with a nice pat of butter. And the ranch dressing doesn't taste like ranch dressing. The salad was lovely but nearly half the amount I'd have liked. Service was ok. But we were not told to go to front to get our bill and pay even though server knew in beginning we had never been there be...
If you enjoy paying a premium for tepid, tasteless food, Hog's Breath might be just what you're looking for.We ordered fillet steaks, ribs, sirloin, a kid's meal and a chicken salad, so had a good selection covered.Alarm bells should have rung after we we had the kid's new slapped down in front of our daughter, but had to go searching for cutlery. Never mind the fact that it looked like a slice from Fat B@stard out of Austin Powers (never seen a minute steak contain so much fat!)....The ribs only had taste from the sauce coating them (which was actually pretty good), the steak was very tender, but so is wet cardboard. They taste remarkably similar.....hang on a minute.....We last went to Hog...
been there quite a few times but not for a year or so, once again was not disappointed!!!..service was quick, friendly and efficient... I went for the traditional prime rib with garlic mushrooms medium rare, and it was tender juicy and cooked to perfection as usual, could not fault it!!! The suggestion off the menu for wine matching was spot on, the shiraz was excellent. Although a bit on the expensive side the value is definitely there and I would not hesitate in recommending this great steakhouse to anybody
Had dinner with family my a burger was served on cutting board prefer plate. Meat tasted like sausage mince so not that great. Others ordered steak that was served on a plate and was pretty good. Curly fries are still really nice. Service was a bit pushy as we had just sat down but once they got the order it was ok. May go back one day but would have steak not burger.

Went for a family meal and none of us were disappointed. Shared entrees, mushrooms fantastic, potato skins nice. Mains to everyone's satisfaction, ribs to usual good standard, burger enjoyable, steak cooked right, lamb shank falling off the bone. Desserts just yummy. Always enjoy the food, good friendly service and that's why we return. Well done Hobart Hogs Breath
This is always a favourite place to eat at with the teenage boy when we stay in Hobart. Our waiter on this night was lovely and very helpful, The restaurant is clean, table staff friendly, bar staff helpful and chefs accommodating to meal requests. The food was plentiful, fresh and arrived promptly. Highly recommend.
Great food but service was very poor tables are very small we had a group of six put on a table big enough for four people but on request there did join some tables to give us more room the food was outstanding .the place was very busy and loud
Fun, upbeat atmosphere. Lovely attentive staff, and the food was great. We had the ranch salad, steak and ribs and all was tasty and reasonably priced. Definitely the best place we dined in Hobart.

On a busy weekend we rang and could be squeezed in. The service was quick polite and professional. The food is to die for and so much of it. I could live on those crumbed mushrooms.
Booked an alcove.. meal was very good.. prices above average but O.K. likewise drink prices average.. quite a noisy venue though.
