DO NOT EAT HERE! The food here was probably some of the worst I 've had anywhere in the world. The poutine didn 't have proper cheese curds, and looked like a wet sloppy mess of fries and gravy-like sauce. The gravy appeared like a reddish, tan-coloured, curry-based gravy which isn 't problematic in and of itself, except that without the cheese curds it hardly resembled or tasted like a poutine. It garnered a reaction from people around the table saying WHAT IS THAT? with responses like I thought it was a plate of pasta or that 's poutine!? And then laughing at it. It was the only time I ordered something (in the world) and didn 't eat but a few bites, but only to not insult the establisheme...
Attended this location prior to a PWHL game with our group on 11. The location was not busy during the dinner hour and we were seated upstairs alone. Initially it started of fine but after arriving things didn't go well. First, the washroom smelt like a sewer and you had to walk by garbage to get to them. Second the server came with our drink orders, proceed to spill two of the drinks and then rushed away to get new ones. We ended up handing out our beverages to ourselves while we waited. Our server wasn't able to tell us which drink was diet Coke and which was regular, leaving one of us to not drink theirs because of not knowing. The spilled drinks were never cleaned up and was still a mess...
Nearly choked on my **** Caesar because of how spicy it was. I always order a Caesar when I go out to eat and oh man, I could feel it in my throat. I also asked for a double and, as a lightweight, I should have felt something. The poutine I ordered was fine and the fries stood up to the discoloured gravy. My husband’s fries however, turned his stomach and his chicken tenders tasted like the ones you could buy frozen in a grocery store. Couldn't get a Denver/LAL playoff game on any of the screens even though there are screens in booths. There were vacant booths with boxing and a waitress told me that changing it took time, which wasn't true (pretty quick for last event). Owner said boxing was popular. Bar is called HOOPS! Jokić vs LeBron! 2 MVPs and NBA Champions and probably the best basketball players ever! Not 1 screen! Best Sports Bar in downtown Toronto. Beautiful atmosphere on the days of soccer, basketball or hockey matches, and very lively on Saturday evenings with its karaoke concept.
