I’ve been working, studying, and hanging out at Hopscotch for years on a regular basis. The interior is very comfortable and the wraparound porch is amazing in the warm months. The ambiance is Hopscotch’s greatest asset along with the amazing staff. I wish it had food and drink options that were more accommodating for a work day or meeting friends after 2 pm, though. It would be nice, for example, to have a decaf coffee option—drip or pour over—especially for the afternoon. It would also be appreciated to have a nourishing food option after the kitchen closes at 2 pm. Currently items like potato chips and vegan donut cakes are offered. I’m currently a resident artist at Sculpture Trails so I wanted to check out a nearby town and find the best vegan eats! As someone who owned a vegan restaurant, I’m always on the hunt for a place that will knock my socks off. This place is pretty good. I got the vegan scramble and added a side of potatoes to mix in. I also added the vegan sausage. It’s pretty good! I will likely return when I’m back next year. The cashier was kind and this place is so cute. My food came out pretty quickly and it tastes fresh. Definitely an ideal spot to come enjoy a meal, a pastry, and do some work or fun reading.
Best coffee in Bloomington! Hopscotch boasts being the #1 rated coffee shop and it’s for good reason. One of my favorite drinks to get there is a lil’ wizard which is a latte with cinnamon and cayenne. Their beans are also the best in town, albeit a bit pricey. I recently tried their new menu at hopscotch kitchen. The chicken salad sandwich was delicious and the sweet potato curry soup was unique and exciting. Overall a great place to get coffee or a quick breakfast/lunch.
Great coffee and food! The staff were very accommodating and willing to customize their dishes to our liking, whether it was adding or subtracting ingredients. Comfortable relaxed atmosphere situated right along the bee line indoor and outdoor feeding great coffee. It's definitely been nice having hopscotch in the area and I definitely recommend if you are into relaxing kicking back and sip it on a coffee. Kill your local Starbucks!
Overall a pretty solid choice for coffee. I got a traditonal macchiato and while it was generally well done, it was a bit underextracted. The shoppe itself was wonderful. Staff was very pleasant, and there was a nice culture to this place that made it memorable.
I’ve been coming here for a little over a month now. Great place and great service! It was suggested to me by one of the baristas a while back to try a Cortado. I’ve been drinking them ever since!
