I genuinely had an amazing experience here! The service was phenomenal, even when my group wanted to change seating areas and they were still so busy! But they got us sorted right away and were so genuine with their interactions with us and others around. The atmosphere was also beautiful. I’m not from here but it’s amazing to see how old things are and well maintained. The people in this place were very lovely. Some even sharing a word or two. Everybody seemed so lovely and kept the atmosphere of the restaurant very homey. And my god the food.. I know I went when I was hungry but I still reckon this was some real good food! Very disappointed that one person from our party of ten were refused sandwiches and fries, as we were sitting in the restaurant. At the time there were no other customers and yet the only option was for that person to have to sit in the bar alone, disgrace and very disappointed when our overall bill was in excess of £200, inc £18 service charge. Will not recommend out of principle and sheer unhelpfulness. I appreciate bar snacks may not be served in the restaurant however we were a group of 10 and only one that was not feeling particularly well opted for a light option.

Beautiful pub in a lovely rural location. Loads of parking. Staff were attentive and polite. The food was perfect, and I can be very judgemental! Well worth a visit.

We discovered this absolute gem last month, and have been back three times already! I cannot fault it in any way, it’s wonderful.
