This place will disappoint you if you value the quality/taste of the fish and you mostly go for sashimi or nigiri rather than ordering rolls when you go to sushi restaurants. But if you just go for the rolls then this place is good enough. They have a variety of rolls offered here from ones with rice to no-rice rolls and although most combinations will taste somewhat similar with just a hint of uniqueness to it, the execution is good and I still enjoyed it. For the carpaccio, only the salmon was good and I wouldn't touch the rest. For the nigiri, I would only order the yellow tail tuna, makarel, eel or the seared salmon. The rest were horrible.. Sat at the bar with my husband and so so glad we did because the sushi chefs were so friendly even gave us service! Whatever he gave us was so good, the fish melted in my mouth. We got the jala jala roll and the super albacore roll. Both were super flavorful amazing but my husband really loved the super albacore roll the most The calamari tempura was so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside too.Additionally, the crispy spicy tuna wasn't just your basic spicy tuna on top of crispy rice. Hands down one of the worst sushi places I’ve been to. Got a to-go order, they didn’t accept the discount code they told me multiple times to use, the eel sauce was a watery waste but had a gloopy top that couldn’t be stirred back in, one of the rolls wasn’t even the correct one and they all tasted like they had been frozen. Honestly I enjoyed the store bought sushi from the nearby Albertson’s more!
We were trying to find a place to eat at 9 p.m. and saw that this restaurant was open and decided to try it out. Turned out to be a good choice. Overall the food was 4/5 but the service and ambience was excellent. It was hopping on a Sunday night. Seems like everyone was having a great time. One item we orders was wrong and they ordered what we wanted and took off the first item off of our bill.

I love this place. Food is fantastic quality sushi. Great service! Michelle was an excellent server. I had a bad day and Michelle turned my mood into a positive one. Just more reason to go back. We got our food to go and the presentation was still great, even packed and characterized. This is definitely my sushi spot.
First time at hoshi and the quality was poor and disappointing. Their takoyaki (on the right) felt like warmed up batter with no texture and pudding-like inside. The mango salmon roll and philly roll were sad looking and tasting, and didn?t feel fresh. Everything was below average and not a restaurant quality.
Updating to give a better rating since the staff was far nicer this time and way more helpful to us. The sushi was great again and came out blazing fast! But so many of their fresh rolls are spicy, I was having a hard time even though I have a pretty considerable spice tolerance lol!
Great service and delicious food! The time we went, they had 40% off the menu. The compliments of the chef for an amazing sushi (forgot what it was called) but it melted like butter in your mouth.Food: 5/5

Ordered Togo and everything was fresh and delicious! Packaging was secure and nothing was missing. This was the first time I ate sushi after my pregnancy so it totally hit the spot
The AYCE is not back yet. The sushi quality is still fantastic. They were able to look cleaner and large probably due to less strain in their sushi balls.
