This plaza has so much potential and I hope Hoshi Sushi continues to flourish!With that said, here are my humble suggestions for Hoshi Sushi:1) Simplify the menu. Too many food items. Way too many roll options. Less is more. In-N-Out Burger is doing just fine with 3 staple menus (Double Double, Cheeseburger, and Hamburger).2) End the 40% off promotion. Offer an affordable price for all menu items to begin with. Taking 40% off from the bloated price items is not a good marketing strategy. $5.99 for soft drinks, $23.99 for 5 pcs tuna sashimi, $26.50 for Unagi Bowl??? 3) How about offering daily specials on weekdays? Sat at the bar with my husband and so so glad we did because the sushi chefs were so friendly even gave us service! Whatever he gave us was so good, the fish melted in my mouth. We got the jala jala roll and the super albacore roll. Both were super flavorful amazing but my husband really loved the super albacore roll the most The calamari tempura was so crispy on the outside and soft on the inside too.Additionally, the crispy spicy tuna wasn't just your basic spicy tuna on top of crispy rice. Hands down one of the worst sushi places I’ve been to. Got a to-go order, they didn’t accept the discount code they told me multiple times to use, the eel sauce was a watery waste but had a gloopy top that couldn’t be stirred back in, one of the rolls wasn’t even the correct one and they all tasted like they had been frozen. Honestly I enjoyed the store bought sushi from the nearby Albertson’s more!
We were trying to find a place to eat at 9 p.m. and saw that this restaurant was open and decided to try it out. Turned out to be a good choice. Overall the food was 4/5 but the service and ambience was excellent. It was hopping on a Sunday night. Seemslike everyone was having a great time. One item we orders was wrong and they ordered what we wanted and took off the first itemoff of our bill.

Absolutely love this place. The food is fantastic quality sushi. Great service! Michelle was an excellent server. I was having a bad day and Michelle absolutely changed my mood into a positive one. Just more of a reason to keep going back. We got our foodto-go and the presentation was still great even packed up and labeled. This is definitely my sushi spot.
Updating to give a better rating since the staff was far nicer this time and way more helpful to us. The sushi was great again and came out blazing fast! But so many of their fresh rolls are spicy, I was having a hard time even though I have a pretty considerable spice tolerance lol!
Great service and delicious food! The time we went, they had 40% off the menu. The compliments of the chef for an amazing sushi (forgot what it was called) but it melted like butter in your mouth.Food: 5/5
Ordered Togo and everything was fresh and delicious! Packaging was secure and nothing was missing. This was the first time I ate sushi after my pregnancy so it totally hit the spot

Server was patient with waiting for us to decide what to order! Each sushi that we ordered was fresh and great tasting. Good place to go to.
