Hotshots cafe is my absolute favorite place in Cranbrook! I've been going there almost daily for the past several months and it's become like a second home to me.First of all, let me tell you about the staff. They are just the kindest and friendliest people you'll ever meet. Every time I walk in, I feel like I'm surrounded by warm hugs and welcoming smiles. And the owner, Sherry, who works in the kitchen she is just a ray of sunshine. She's so lovely and always has a smile on her face, making the atmosphere at Hotshots just that much brighter.The space itself is simply beautiful. It's tastefully decorated, with just the right amount of charm and coziness. Plus, the smells coming from the kit...
It's time for HS to make some changes. The food used to be fantastic, but the service is still just average. It had been a couple of years since I last visited, and I was disappointed to find the restaurant in an extremely dirty condition. The tables and chairs are in worse shape than before, wobbling to the point that my drinks spilled every time I moved. I noticed a couple last week who had to put a napkin under one of the table legs to stabilize it. I used to really love HS, but given the current state of the restaurant and the increased prices, I think I’ll be looking for other dining options.
Love the drinks and food is delicious as well. I get that the employees are busy however I would appreciate if they’d greet or acknowledge you when you step up to the till ! Several times now I’ve just got a blank gaze while they wait for me to order. The first time in I wasn’t even sure if they were ready for me to order or not due to this. A simple hi would be plenty. Otherwise lovely! Don’t order a meal if you don’t have extra time as it’s not fast food. Food is delicious and fresh. Worth the wait.
A little busy for a coffee shop, and I don't mean the amount of clientele however that was a generous busy-ness level as well. Neat environment to have a lunch break in.The service was speedier than expected and very vibrant. We were quite disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. The sandwiches arrived on cold toasted English muffins, the marble cheese wasn’t melted, and the yolks were hard and chalky. Additionally, the staff didn’t appear very friendly. While the baked goods were decent, for $60 for breakfast for four, I would suggest looking for another place to eat.
Amazing food.I took an extra meal for the next day and just asked for the sauce separate and anything else that could just ruin it. Wasn’t expecting much the chef said “I got you!” And boy did she!Separated with simple instructions.Just going the extra mile!!I am so happy with my first time leftovers!
Hot Shots has been my meet up place, my picker upper for years!!! The crew works so hard and must be appreciated. Thanks guys. I love all their pastry, my 3 year old loves the teriyaki noodle bowl. Brie sandwich is my go to, w/ Cafe Rollo and a stoke drink- warrior.Always a happy gal
What a great place to have in your community. Not a box store coffee shop. Way beyond ... the menu is fun. This is a great spot for a meal. There's plenty of parking available, and it's usually easy to find a good table. I'll definitely keep coming here with friends whenever I'm in the mood for it.
