the season starts well for this hotel restaurant with stunning views of the verdon. We are very happy to be able to return to October. the chef has delighted us, the plates were original and very well presented, in short, than happiness. admiring this beautiful landscape. We had the pleasure of taking after the meal a digestive in their living room remade to nine. superb, clear, contemporary and warm with all its beautiful photos and the piano for customers who want to play it. We want to stay there for a moment.What changes in these places, which is true, needed a certain refreshment!
As already said by other reviewers... The staff knows there is little chance we come back... therefore, they don 't seem to care about a 'good service '... Although the new waitress made big efforts to make our dinner an enjoyable moment, she was struggling with the 'old waitress ' orders... Actually, I believe you won 't even have a chance to meet the 'new waitress '... she probably won 't stay very long... Otherwise, the place is fantastic... the hotel is OK, despite rooms (and especially bathrooms) deserving a little refurbish investment...
We slept here during our hike in the verdon gorges. so level view there's really nothing to say that's spectacular! The evening meal was very good, but the waiter was in a very bad mood. not against us directly, but he was judging in his beard against other customers which gives a somewhat special atmosphere. The rooms are large and clean, on the other hand the decor and the bedding are a bit obsolete. short, not frankly to advise for a romantic getaway, but for a hiker stop it is quite correct.
We parked at the Étroit des Cavaliers lookout and headed for the cafe at the back of the restaurant. As we walked up there were three boars wandering round the garden. We had decent coffees and admired the astonishing views but be prepared for grumpy service if that’s all you order! We watched people like ants on the other side of the gorge doing the 6 hour walk. Exhausted just looking but they seemed to be having fun.

friendly welcome, quick service- ample parking - absolutely extraordinary views from the terrace that is at the edge of the 400m lower verdon - we had come to descend then on the verdon, so did not choose a gourmet menu but just each one a dish - a lemon chicken ( copious, good sauce, industrial fries, too soft salad stayed too long in the vinaigrette, frankly not good and dry steak ) and a decoration to refresh -
The service was very good by an old woman. The food was delicious and fresh. The restaurant has a glorious view to the canyon and mountains. So it is really nice to have lunch there even if your table is not on the corner of the balcony. We liked it very much.
The meal plat du jour was not special, very standard: chicken with bone, french fries and some salad. The view however was magnificent! The dessert was excellent and the service too. For sure a good place for lunch with a view!
cold reception of the bosses I fortunately assume the waiters catch up the kitchen is correct, a little expensive as...More
