The food here was pretty good. The fish was excellent! However, the service was not great. We were seated only after asking someone if we should be seated or seat ourselves and then our waiter asked if wanted something to drink. We asked for tap water. He was very confused as he did not speak much English. He said still water and I asked him twice if it was free. Both times he said yes, free . We had our meal, which was pricey but good. DESPICABLE Restaurant!!! I don 't understand how people can put 5* and positive comments!!! I went there for the first time on a Friday afternoon with a friend for the perch fillets... La Brasserie du Rive is a nice spot along the water in Nyon. The menu includes Swiss dishes, such as the famous cheese fondue and Filets de perches du Léman. Both were pretty good. There is seating inside and outside. If you sit outside, be ready for a lot of little, cute birds that are not afraid of humans at all trying to get some crumbs! The staff were super kind and service was amazing. They even brought us a meat and bread complementary appetizer dish to go along with the wine. It was delicious! TO AVOID. Boss very snobbish, unpleasant, no smile on arrival. I point out to him that we have been waiting for 50 minutes when we were told 15-20 minutes when taking the order, instead of being understanding and apologizing, he preferred to go and check on his computer if we 've been waiting for a good 50 minutes, then scolding me that it 's been less, even more than 15-20 minutes . Nice way to treat a customer so they don 't come back. Perch fillets way too salty. Not worth a visit especially for such a detestable and arrogant boss. Nice place but overpriced.
lunch at the brasserie du rive. the menu does not look like much, but make no mistake, we are here in a real gastro! dishes worked with products of an extreme quality whether it is fish or meat. everything is a treat! only downside the too short wine list. special mention to the pot of char and will make, delicious!! we come back to it every time we go to Nyon. The filets de perches are amazing, cooked in butter! Be aware, there are two servings! The fish soup was extremely flavorful and the creme brûlée fantastic. We had a lovely meal with friends, ate too much and then had to walk back up the hill to our hotel! Lovely ambiance and great waitstaff. Will definitely go back again if we are in Nyon.
Als ich meine Fahrradtour nach Genf beendete, hielt ich hier eine letzte Brekkie. Der Besitzer Laurent kam raus und redete mit mir und sorgte dafür, dass ich gefeuert wurde. Leckeres Essen.
