A few years ago, I had stopped there for lunch: at that time, I had praised the food but complained about the service. Unfortunately, service has not improved and this year’s dinner was much of a disappointment. I can’t fault the location: central, in the pedestrian zone, just a few steps from the castle. The large terrace is very inviting on a warm summer evening. I can’t fault the food: tasty classic food with generous portions. As starter the burrata salad was very good. As main course, I enjoyed the Cordon Bleu (with veal and Gruyère cheese): delicious, crispy without being greasy. I visited the Hostellerie Du XVIe Siecle for 7 nights while visiting Switzerland. I stayed in the hotel found it to be quite fine. Christophe was great at advising of the prices, room layouts (as there is a two types of rooms different sizes). The bedroom is basic, clean has a table chair with lovely view onto the Place Du March. Breakfast is cereal, fruit, some cheese meat plate crossiants. Very happy to stay again
Wir hielten in dieser schönen Stadt auf dem Weg nach Montreux. Dieses Restaurant traf den Platz. Mein Mann hat den Chicken Cordon Blu, er hat darüber gehauen. Es ist selten für ihn, von einer Mahlzeit beeindruckt zu sein! Ich hatte eine Pasta, die sehr gut war, eine Touch-Blande aber immer noch lecker. Der Seitensalat war einfach, aber frisch und gut auch. Stoppen Sie in diese Stadt, ihre bezaubernd!!
Brasserie à l 'ancienne“ (traditional Swiss brasserie) that makes excellent food in the traditional way. We had a Cordon Bleu (works so well with a beer or a glass of white wine) and a Tartare au Cognac that were excellent. The terrasse is beautiful in the middle of the old town of Nyon and the service was 5 stars. Stick to local wines, they have Chasselas from La Côte that are simply great!
