A view is the only good thing about this establishment, we made a visit to the Pont de espange on a recommendation that the views were spectacular and they were, We stopped at this place for a drink and a bite to eat, it was very busy but not short of staff, we sat at a table and were eventually approached by a waitress, we ordered 2 cokes 1 milk shake and a hot chocolate plus 2 sandwiches and chocolate crepes, the waitress brought us our drinks and then made us pay the bill 28 euros before she brought the food,when the food arrived it was terrible cheap packet baguettes with a bit of ham and cheese thrown in not worth 6 euros the place overall seemed a bit of a money spinner with no competi...
You will find a cafe at the Hôtellerie du Pont d'Espagne just beside the landmark Bridge of Spain which is no more than a 5 minute walk from the general car park. This is a nice spot for an afternoon drink after spending a couple hours exploring the grounds and waterfalls trails around Pont d'Espagne. We stopped here for a glass of beer and wine recently. Service was quick, working hard to accommodate a large number of patrons taking up the many tables on the outdoor terrace area. Pay when drinks are delivered, enjoy the charming environs and beverage while letting your feet rest up a bit. Then, you can be on your way. After a short hike we decided to take a break at this establishment. The terrace looked inviting so we found a table overlooking the spectacular waterfall. The location is perfect and the service was friedly and fast. We ordered a waffle, a tartelette myrtille (Blueberry) and hot chocolate drink. The quality of the waffle and the little pastry was average. 2/5 The quality of the chocolate drink was poor, no chocolate taste and very milky sweet. 2/5 The price for those 3 items: euro 11,80. This Hotel and restaurant is located in a really great location next to the 'Pont d 'Espagne ' an idyllic location i have experienced in snow and hot sunshine! Friendly service and Hot drink after slogging in the snow or Cold ... drinks after accomplished the loooong walk to touching the glacier past the lovely Refuge des Oulettes de Gaube!
You do not come across many terraces with a better view. We had fantastic weather that helps, the food was okay, very friendly en fast service on a sunny Sunday afternoon. So for the food you don't have to make the tour but the view and the pont d'espagne in general is fantastic

Happy to share a drink with friends after a nice walk in a very nice location but disappointed with poor service, waiter being very pushy to get the exact cash amount even before we all got served.
