It's all about the food and at Hottie's Food Emporio that food is authentic and absolutely excellent! Sauces, pastas and doughs are prepared on-site, from scratch. Top quality ingredients! The olive oil would probably cost $25 or more per litre at a typical grocery store. The Italian sausage (mild) is awesome. Real Italian coffee, too! No drip machine here; if you want regular, North American-style coffee, you will have to ask for an Americano: espresso mixed with hot water. It's great. My husband and I drove right past this place as it is in an unexpected place. But it looked so inviting that we turned round and went back. We were not disappointed. We were met at the door and made to feel very welcome. Since it was too early for lunch we decided to stay and at least have a coffee there. Then the carrot cake caught my eye! Italian food is my absolute favorite. I'm discernible, too because I'm a great cook and can copy what I eat at home pretty easily. Whether you choose their soup and sandwiches or go into their pastas and specialties like Chicken Cacciatore, you won't be disappointed. We stopped here after an epic mountain bike ride on nearby Bear Mtn. It was amazing. The coffee was strong and smooth - just perfect. We had crepes that were unbelievably good. They use local ingredients and everything is fresh. The staff are really friendly as well (even though we were covered in mud.) Prices are very reasonable. This will become a tradition for us - mountain biking and great Italian food.
Had lunch here with hubby at the weekend. The service was excellent, food was delicious. Good size portions and very reasonably priced. Very casual but we loved that about it. Wanted to try the tiramisu but didn't have room.......next time! Really glad we found this place, will definitely be back. The chef took the time to ask everyone how their food was too.
The restaurant is very welcoming and offers a nice selection of dishes. The drinks are beautifully presented. I loved the vegetarian gnocchi bake I ordered, and my friend really enjoyed their Italian poutine. The prices are reasonable for the delicious food offered.

Traveled with friends for dinner on a snowy evening. I had the veg panzerotti...Excellent My boyfriend liked his Pesto (Chicken Penne.) Prices are reasonable. Great service! Clean!
No frills place. But food and service are awesome. Thursday night is open mic night. Great meeting place for some great I highly recommend it to anyone.
