I live in Carrollwood and always heard about Mama D's from friends that live in the St.Pete area. I ordered the rib basket with hot sauce. ? The ribs were fresh and piping hot. But that did NOT stop me from devouring the ribs and fries while driving back to Carrollwood. I finished every fry and had nothing but bones left before I reached the Howard Franklin. ? Did I mention I was driving?!.. It was absolutely delicious. Thanks again. Also, thank you to the cashier who took care of me. I also mentioned to her that I've never been but heard a lot about Mama D's. Thanks! I will definitely be back soon.
Our first time visiting, we found them on Google and let me just say they're worth every bit of the five stars!!! The customer service was wonderful! The food was AMAZING! It came out hot, it was seasoned to perfection. I had the chopped beef combo with greens and potato salad it was BOMB!! My wife had the rib comb and she had the fried corn she couldn't stop licking her fingers! The guy with the hat was friendly with wonderful customer service!! We'll definitely, for sure be back!!!
Hate to think how spicy the hot sauce is cuz the mild felt like fire ants on my tongue and lips. Good portion sizes on the sides. Greens had kick to them as well. Mac cheese was not so fresh. Ribs were mostly fat bone and short sections of rib (careful small sharp bone fragments). Warning: 3.99% ! for paying by credit or debit
Not good at all.... Overly Sweet mashed Potato Salad too much pepper in the dry mac and cheese and the Cole slaw was super slimy, so I was afraid to touch it. I've eaten here in the past and the food and service was much better, not sure what's changed, but it's a no for me.

We had a party of 8. This was the worst barbecue that I have ever had and that was the best part of the experience. All 8 of us got food poisoning. Still recovering. This should not happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do NOT eat here unless you are wanting to get really sick.
Maybe it was the timing(5pm) but the food seems like it was heated by a microwave. The Styrofoam containers in which the Mac was were slightly melted. The ribs were hard and hard to eat. Nothing turned out, the better, even the service was differentiated.
Lived here a few years and cannot believe I am just now discovering Mama D's! Ribs and Pork hit the spot and the greens are the best I've had in years. A1 quality. A1 kindness and service, will be back!
Eat brilliant. They were so friendly and fast. No! We wanted to dig, then we got a call and had to go. Before we could even say something that she already had our food ready to go bags!

The food here is fresh and very tasty. If I'm ever in St. Pete, I always make it a point to stop and the family a few good Ole Grill. You will not be disappointed
Big Tim isn't his mom D's anymore and the food is great. The service is also up there. The person who takes your order is very nice and pleasant.
