This was my first time trying Giovanni's after living in Hoboken for four years, and I kind of wish I tried it sooner. We kept our NYE tradition of ordering a pizza, but this year, we got to order a couple of pies since we were having some friends over and were planning to stay in. We ordered the Giovanni's Special pizza (Pepperoni, mushroom, sausage, peppers, and onion) and the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. Both were a hit. Honestly, you can't go wrong with the special pizza. It's a classic. The CBR as well what's not to love about it? But people seemed to like the special more since that one was all gone. Everything was normal, the food was normal but it was to our liking, I was going with my girlfriend, but in terms of service at the time of paying we met this person who wears glasses (glasses) who does not know how to speak and does not know treat customers well, he was very disrespectful to my girlfriend, I think that apart from the food, service and respect is something very important in a place and this man does not know how to do this, I would not return to this place and I do not recommend it not at all if they want to be well cared for at all times. PS: be careful with the man with glasses, he is not respectful
I ordered 2 large pies the pizza had a good taste but one of my pies I ordered sausage topping on the pie for $20. It tasted good but not enough sausage only a few pieces on each slice. For $3 for extra toppings on a pie I highly recommend more sausage on the pizza. I do not know if I got charge a delivery charge? I will ask if I call again. My seniors liked the pizza but complained few sausage but it was good! I had a slice.
All I can say is WOW! Have been next to this place at the gym and even worked years and Hoboken and never stopped in until today for lunch. This place is a gem! The food and flavors were outstanding. I had baked ziti and meatballs the baked mozzarella was excellent and sauce was great. My buddy had penne vodka and breaded chicken. 10 stars for these guys!
