We ordered at the counter and received our food quickly. We started with a sampler platter as an appetizer, which included 3 falafels and various dips. The quality of food and service at this restaurant has significantly declined in the past year. A recent order of lamb beef platter took 20 minutes longer than expected due to overcooking. The service can be cynical at times, and it's frustrating to be asked for a tip when the service is lacking. I have been a loyal customer since 2005 and have witnessed the ups and downs of this establishment. We are fans of Hummus place at Stanford, but San Mateo location is different. Quality of the food is the same, but vibes and ambience is more like canteen. My husband always go for lamb shish kebab it is good. I went for salmon it varies, not as predictable as kebab. The place and the team are very kids friendly. We are visiting with our 13months old baby, the team plays and interacts with the baby in a very friendly Turkish style way! Much appreciated!

I had a salmon wrap that I really liked at this restaurant. However, I found the price of the wrap and the sauce on the side to be a bit high. I ended up paying about $18.50, including tip. The service was decent, and there was self-service for water. The atmosphere was a bit loud, so I would have preferred it to be quieter. This was my second time eating here, and overall, I would recommend it for its delicious food.

I was very surprised. I didn't know what to expect . The food was very good , I'm headed plant based and close to vegan so I'm trying new places. Service was good they give you a number and deliver it to your table. It's steady with customers so you know it's good. Little tables throughout and it's a clean and very welcoming. I will be back
Casual Middle East Mediterranean restaurant. You order at the counter and then they bring it to your table. Lots of freshly made dishes and they have a gyro rotisserie. The salad was huge and very good. The wrap was a little small but still good. Overall good place for a quick meal I would go back. FYI there is a 3% health charge
