To be fair, when I checked in for my reservation I did not have a great experience, however, when we were seated, our server Clay more than made up for it. The thing about Clay that made the difference was his ability to read his audience and respond in kind, this made the experience great! How was the food? Let me put it this way. No one went home with a doggie bag. Prime rib, Rib eyes and a Porterhouse with salads and sides, all went down well. The Cesar salad was by far the best I have ever had. If they keep the same consistency I would come back just for it. The one downgrade was dessert. Both the brownie and carrot cake were a bit dry to our liking, but we did not come here for the dess...
here on a busy Friday evening. was immediately greeted and waited for a few minutes to sit. caleb was our waiter and made an excellent job. her warm brot and honey butter was great. the table side salatable is a fun way to build an salat. the steaks were perfectly prepared like the veggies. they offered some amazing desserts, but unfortunately we did not leave a room. I would eat the next time in bakersfield!
After a long day of driving, husband was hungry for some steak. As we were passing through Bakersfield, came across Hungry Hunter Steakhouse. Not a steak person myself, I ordered a pasta dish very tasty. Husband's prime rib dish? He said two thumbs up. Good customer service too.
the service was the 1st rate (then caleb! eating was excellent prime rib and a ribeye steak and the experience was very good overall! I will come back to my next visit to do it again! thanks hungry hunter steakhouse!

Never ever disappointed. 10 times better than Black Angus across the street! Love the Steaks and the Garden Salad is wonderful Update. It's been 7 years, and It was just as good as before. Outstanding!!
My dining experience was fabulous, the service and food were excellent. If I ever go back to Bakersfield, CA, Hungry Hunter is definitely a must. I recommend the lamb chops and the Caribbean Cooler.
They have the best Prime Rib, excellent service. Renee is the most excellent waitress. She treats you like royalty, she's doesn't make you ask for anything. She's definitely on top of her game.
