My sister and I went to Hurts Donuts in West Des Moines (my first time). The place is chocked full of Donut Bliss,any type donut you can think of was available !! My sister bought a Dozen (cost $18) I chose 2 of said Dozen, the German Chocolate and Red Velvet Dour Creme Frosting. My sister got regular and yeast raised along with One Peanut butter, one with Butter Finger, and I am sorry to say I have forgotten the rest of her choices (all looked Delicious). I asked for my two to be wrapped separately and the person waiting on us had no problem with the request, in fact she was delighted and very helpful. The hours they are open is 24/7, I asked if that was true and she stated that it is true...

This was my first time here, my friend and I rounded everything we wanted. I was a little confused about the 1/2 dozen and full dozen deal... something about the Twists not included in the deal.... I didn't know there was a deal I should start with, but he and they were talking about it all the time. I said something like, wait, what's the deal... totally confused. I estimate they offer around 30 different varieties, and that might even be on the low side. In addition to glazed and cake donuts, they have cinnamon rolls, long johns, fritters, and so much more. This is the last place in Iowa to be open 24 hours a day (They are Missouri chain and they are made to be open 24 hours a day) but they rarely make the donuts fresh anymore! This is a great franchise and the donuts in Missouri are usually great but like most things that come to Iowa they are doing it the Iowa way.
We tried a dozen different options, and not a single one let us down! Each had its own unique flavor, and my kids couldn't stop talking about them all day! They particularly loved the Cookie Monster, while my personal favorite was the Homer Simpson.
The best donuts I've ever had in my life! The variety of options is incredible, and the prices are very reasonable. After taking a bite, I genuinely wanted to cry because it was so delicious. The staff are friendly, and the place is clean as well.

Came here last year. The donuts were amazing. They look amazing and taste amazing. Costs like $5 bucks a donut though. But where else are you going to get donuts this amazing?
