We discovered this place while walking on a tour, and our tour guide said they have an extensive bourbon and whiskey selection. Between hearing about the excellent food and loving bourbon, I already knew we had to come back and try it. We made reservations, because this place gets packed, but it was a good thing we did and came early. Let me tell you, this food was delicious! The cornbread was super moist, the ribs and oysters were truly finger licking good, you can't go wrong. I thought the collard greens and rabbit were great but, the side of rice we had with our entrees wasn't. More hype than actual performance, Husk was a bit of a letdown imo. My last dinner in Charleston, I found myself at the original Husk. Farm to table 'elevated southern cuisine ' was hard to resist. Yet, after each bite, I found myself wondering if things could be ever so slightly improved. Of what I sampled, I 'd probably recommend the pork chop, although not quite a must-have. Service was on point. I never found myself waiting or wanting. Prices were 'elevated ' for the quality provided, however, the portions were fair. I would not say no to trying Husk again, either at a future visit to Charleston or one of their other locations. However, I wouldn 't make it a priority.
I had been wanting to try husky for over a year and boy did it live up to the hype. Started with the pork spare ribs and they were the best spare ribs I’ve ever had. Then had pork shank for dinner and the potato mash was was fantastic, I’m not a big kimchi fan but it had good flavor. Brussels sprouts were kind tasty as well would order those again. Husk certainly lived up to the hype!!! This food was to die forrrrr. The staff was so friendly and the inside was beautiful! Highly recommend eating here when you are visiting Charleston!
