I would give this place zero stars if I could. What is wrong with this restaurant? Did they hire a royal staff or something? When we arrived, there was no one at the front to greet us because the only waiter was busy chatting with the cook in the kitchen. When he finally came out, he walked right past us to serve food to another table, then walked by again without making eye contact or acknowledging us at all, as if we didn’t exist. I could understand if the restaurant were larger and we were just overlooked, but there are only 4-5 tables, and only 2 were occupied with diners who had already been served. If they don’t want to do business, they should just put a closed sign on the door.
we are glad that we have not been lowered by the comments of the previous reviewers and have decided to go this humble can. the products we experienced were excellent in quality, taste and taste hyderabad biryani reminded us of the return home, chicken curry was paratha brilliant. this box must draw the standards of professionalism of the server and cleanliness to promote the clientele, as the taste of the food (of what we have experienced) is really remarkable and should not be missed.
One of the best biriyanis I have tasted recently. My friend and I ordered the Goat and Chicken biriyani and they were both cooked to perfection. Once I had some, I couldn't stop. I ended up ordering more as takeaway to share with my family becuase the biriyani was just that good. It is also very worth it for its price as well. Can easily feed two people with one biriyani. 10/10 will come back again.
I regret spending my money here. I ordered the biryani, which was quite disappointing. I also requested spicy chicken curry, but it was unexpectedly sweet, almost as if they added tomato sauce to it. Additionally, the dish contained undercooked wobble and chunks of tomato. I urge you to improve the flavor of your food and not tarnish the reputation of Hyderabad's famous chicken biryani. Authentic Hyderabadi Food for the Hyderabadi Diaspora migrants missing their food back home. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. The owner (I guess) was very kind and spoke with my mum with a lot of respect. All the other staff have always been kind and well-spoken. I eat here quite often and will always go back for more xxVegetarian options: They cater to some yummy veggie options.
Best biriyani in Melbourne. We've tried many restaurants and nothing comes close to Hyderabad Darbar. We’ve bought individual portions as well as the pot for a crowd. Very consistent always rice perfectly cooked and heaps of mutton. Our go to caterer for our parties. Highly recommend.
The biryani here is quite large and likely as authentic as you can find at an Indian restaurant in Melbourne. The prices are very reasonable. I've been back already, and I plan to return in the future.
