Had dinner today and didn’t like the spicy salmon roll too much tempura not enough salmon. The waitress brought me a different type of roll which was much better. The cook came out to tell me I was wrong about the spicy salmon roll,...that it wasn’t fair to her that I didn’t like it and I was expected to still pay for it, even though I didn’t eat it. Then she told me I should probably not go back. Wish granted! Guess the customer is not allowed personal opinions in his restaurant.
Gyoza were flavourless and tuna tataki had barely any searing on it. The sushi was rice-heavy and pieces of fish were very small. I could barely find the unagi in the caterpillar roll. Devoid of atmosphere/decor, which we could’ve looked past if the sushi was...excellent. Was expecting a lot better from other reviews.
this place was pretty good. I had the sushi and sushi lunch and also ordered a rainbow roll that was too much to eat. the sashimi is a bit too thick for how I like, but it was really good. I'd eat here again, probably. would not eat in the restaurant, although it is not a great atmosphere.
that is a surprisingly good Japanese restaurant in fergus ontario. while not flashy atmosphere, the food quality was very good, generous in portions and wide variety of menus. if they enjoy Japanese cuisine, this is a worthy place!
I ate dinner here and was very satisfied with the Sushi.wasnt expecting to fine this quality in a smaller community. My server was excellent and very helpful. Would recommend Ikiru when you are looking for sushi in the area.
Excellent service and quality of food. Beautifully displayed meals. Huge assortment of fresh seafood and many other choices. I'm so glad we have a trustworthy restaurant for raw fish in Fergus!
fresh eating, excellent service, a lot of choices for appetizers and rolling, atmosphere is unique as it serves a former country dance bar with all the country furniture fresh sushi.
Our entire family loves Ikiru Sushi. We feel it is the best sushi restaurant and rivals the best in the GTA. Our favourite is the Green Dragon, tempura shrimp with avocado.
Had lunch here and enjoyed the Maki lunch box which include soup and a small salad. Tempera was excellent! Service was also excellent and very friendly.
