We ended up here by chance having never been before. Will definitely be making this one of our favourites. The 2 and three course lunch menus were a lovely suprise from the usual choices. For starter mum and I had the spinach pancakes in a prawn and cheese sauce. Main for me was a whole grilled trout superbly cooked. Dessert was a really excellent cream caramel. The portions were generous. The staff were friendly and attentive. A total delight on a rainy day
My hubby and I found this place whilst in Brighton yesterday and stopped for lunch. They had a great choice set 2 course or three course menu we opted for the two course set menu at £12.95 each. Both had fish croquettes starter and one chicken breast with veg and one minute steak and chips for main. All cooked to order so lovely and hot/fresh when arrived and tasted great. Great value and good find will go again when in Brighton.!
I have visited this restaurant twice now, on two consecutive nights. The 9oz Sirloin I ordered was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth. Whenever I return to Brighton and find myself hungry, this will be my first choice. While the Steak was a bit pricey, the quality far surpassed any other steaks I have ever had.
Long work week and travel also...but this lovely family gem makes the world right again with a perfectly cooked and wonderful meal. Found this lovely restaurant in the lanes of Brighton. What a little gem. We had three courses and everyone was really tasty. Very friendly staff. Thank you for making our evening so pleasant. We will come back next time we're in Brighton. Will definitely recommend to others.
The staff at this restaurant is very friendly, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is great. Despite being short-staffed in the kitchen, they still managed to impress with delicious gambas.
Tucked away in the Lanes this is a real find. Attentive staff and nice decor. The food though is the star here. Delicious and well cooked for a reasonable price. We will definitely be back.
