We'd go back again, and again, and again. Il Mercato is the perfect place for dates and groups alike. We have been in both situations and have thoroughly enjoyed ourselves both times. The food is amazing. We both had soup to start, and it was fantastic. I then had some pasta, and Chris had pizza. Both were wonderful; I still crave it 3 months later. The service is also excellent, and their staff are friendly, and know what they are doing. They also know their menu very well, and they were able to recommend something to any desire. Absolutely outstanding! I visited this restaurant with a companion, and we thoroughly enjoyed the risotto croquettes as an appetizer, followed by the rigatoni Piemontese, lasagna, and for dessert, the zucotto. The appetizer was incredibly tasty, and I highly recommend trying it. The sauces for both the appetizer and the main dishes were distinctly different from each other, unlike many other pasta places where they often have similar flavors, and all were excellent. I suggest saving the bread for dipping into your sauce, although the oil and balsamic dip provided is also a nice option. The zucotto was rich, moist, and simply delightful.

Each dish was delicious and well-prepared, making it a delightful culinary experience. The service was also commendable, with attentive staff that provided a warm and welcoming atmosphere, earning a 4 out of 5. The overall ambiance of the place was pleasant as well, with a cozy vibe that added to the enjoyment of the meal, which also received a 4 out of 5. Beautiful. LOVE THIS PLACE! So romantic, relaxing and just a nice overall atmosphere. My husband and I have been here many times (and also the Spring Garden location). I used to think that the food was overpriced, but when looking at the quantity and quality of the food I never mind spending the money. If you are an italian food lover and like to polish off your meal with a rich and decadent dessert Il Mercato Trattoria is the place to go!
This is one of our favorite restaurants for a beautiful dinner. Whether it's a special occassion or just a night out, you can't go wrong. One of my most favorite dishes is the risotto croquettes but I wanted to expand on the menu a bit so we tried a few different dishes this time around. Everything was stellar, the food, the drinks, the staff (always so attentive and professional and very friendly). It's a must go!
I've never had a bad meal at this restaurant! Everything is delicious, and the service is excellent. The bartender, Tyler, if I remember correctly, is exceptional at his job. Overall, it's a fantastic restaurant that I highly recommend.
Lovely meal out for a special occasion. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Nice ambiance. Good to make reservations, busy spot. If it is cold or rainy, you can wait for your reservation in the mall connected to it.
Il Mercato always excites me in a way that I don’t experience elsewhere. My appreciation for this restaurant has grown so much that I find myself stopping by just to enjoy the atmosphere – it truly is a special place for me!
Desserts are awesome!. The desserts are awesome. They have an in-house pastry chef that makes the cakes six days a week. I had the coconut lemon chiffon and a taste of the Zuccotto. Both were really good.
