A bad culinary experience of my life. We came here for my mother's birthday and while the food was great, the service was so terrible that I shocked that this restaurant was in business. We sat at 7:30 and served no dinner until 9:15. As we ask several times where our food was, let's tell us two minutes, but it would never come. Instead of apologies, we were hired by our waiter and the manager as normal for the restaurant. When serving food, we were asked to take the records directly from the server instead of being put down, while everything tells how hot the records were. The icing on the cake was when I got an attitude to hand over the dirty cutlery on the table at the end of the meal, so...
Excellent service, delicious food, the best place to my father 90. hosted birthday party. I met Claudio, who was so helpful with menu selection and organization of a party for 20 people. I cannot thank Luigi enough for providing perfect service. I am so grateful to them and to the kitchen staff that they create food and have service that exceed all expectations. The atmosphere was perfect to celebrate my dad who loves a party with music and dance. We ate, laughed, danced and enjoyed wine. Thank you Claudio, Luigi and the entire staff in Il Mondo Vecchio for everything you have done to make my dad an unforgettable one.
We have been here in the past and, although the service has been iffy, the food was good. Not tonight. Terrible is all we can say. Only after we inquired, our appetizer was finally served 30 minutes from ordering. Immediately, out came our entrees. They took them back until we finished the appy and, when served, they were terrible. What got me, was our waitress did not follow up and the managers were defensive when we explained our disappointment. While my salmon was removed from the bill, my husband's veal was inedible. When I asked for coffee....even that was cold and terrible. So disappointed. we will not be back.
I've been going to Il Mondo Vecchio for special occasions for more than 30 years. The food has always been incredibly good. Huge menu, everything is delicious. Super consistent quality. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options like the Portobello appetizer, mushroom ravioli, and a few pastas. Also a few great salads. Went to dinner here recently and Claudio, the manager was great ! We had great service, the food was amazing and we will definitely be coming back again. Excellent food, good service, beautiful ambience. It's a lot of stuff together. There we were to celebrate a friend's birthday, and there were at least 5 other birthday parties. The staff handled everything very well.
Very good food, great service in an elegant, well appointed setting. I'd go back regularly if I didn't live 3,000 miles away.
