First the manageress was brilliant, helpful to us with very little French. This lady took all our order without writing anything down,starters drinks ,mains.We were provided with an English translation menu which helped no end.Drinks provided, starters, we ordered one prawn cocktail, one brochette starter, these were hugethen we realised they were for sharing!! But our wife's didn't want starters!!!I certainly enjoyed a very large prawn cocktail to myself. I'll be honest- we had decided to have fish and chips, but the restaurant was closed.We'd had a busy day and didn't want to walk any further so visited this Italian restaurant across the road.There was so much to chose from.One of our party made a wise decision and simply ordered a pizza, which he said was quite good.However, the other three of us decided on a Formule -a big mistake when we saw the portion sizes!!The carpaccio of beef was excellent, but my tuna pizza was over cooked. To be fair the waitress offered to bring a fresh one but I declined as I knew I couldn't eat it all after my starter. Visited here twice during our 5 day trip to Honfleur. The food on both visits was excellent! We went for the Formule menu each time which was just under €20 each for a 3 course meal. Each course was delicious and the pizzas were superb- stone baked with lashings of filling! The seafood pizza was the best we've ever had anywhere! The deserts were homemade & just so yummy! Wines & beers were reasonably priced too. The staff & service was second to non, they went that extra mile on each of our visits. We arrived late to our apartment and wanted to have a take-out meal which is not commonly offered in France. Il Parasole were very accommodating boxing up not only pizzas but also some salads and appetizers. The pizza was really very good and reasonably priced. We had several different pizzas all of which were excellent - they have a good crust which was not too chewy or too hard. We didn't eat at the restaurant but it has two main rooms both of which seemed nice.

We re-visited in June and found it to better than ever. They have added an upstairs terrace which provides a lovely area for evening dining. Food and service were very good and the prices sensible.
