I feel bad writing this review, the food was very good, the staff are mostly polite and friendly, but the wait times were just too slow. We arrived at 515pm and were the only people there (3 adults 1 child) Orders were taken a little slowly but not too bad, drinks came out quickly and then we waited a long time for entrees. By now other tables and take away customers had arrived. We did not get mains til well after 630pm we had waited almost an hour since we finished our entrees, when my mum asked where the mains were the waitress said "you already had your entrees !!" We stopped in here on a visit to Adelaide having used this restaurant years ago when we lived in SA. The food was good then, and it is still good now.Satays as an entrée along with spring rolls, followed by Honey Chicken & Sizzling Szechuan Chicken with rice. Everything tasted perfect, was beautifully presented & the staff are friendly.The only issue we had was our waitress turned up with one incorrect dish & one incorrect drink due to an inability to understand "Carlton Cold", instead bringing a Coke. That said, it did not detract from the brilliant food & a good dining experience.
I will admit it was 2013 when we last went, but as a couple we were well looked after, we like to eat our entrée and then we share a first meal, and after five or so minute break, we share the next plate, so many other restaurants dont understand what we meant, but Imperial Prince staff did, and presto, service not to be beaten. Food was yummy. 2013 not Feb 2015.
We have visited this modern establishment several times over the past year. On every occasion we have been greeted by friendly staff and have enjoyed excellent food. On our most recent visit we were pleased to see that quite a few other people were enjoying this restaurant which is very new and therefore must be very encouraging to the owners . We dined in the new O'Halloran hill Vietnamese restaurant. Not very impressed. We were a group of 8 and chose a banquet. Everyone left feeling very hungry, the portions were very small.It's a real shame because the restaurant was very busy, but I can't see many people returning fire that experience.
This restaurant has closed and re-opened as O'Halloran Hill Vietnamese restaurant, and its complete rubbish, the waiting staff understand little English, the service is super slow and the food bland
Fabulous food, fast polite services and great wine. Parking good ideal for big or small groups ... back to good old fashioned,reasonably priced comfort food.
