Rang this cafe yesterday to make sure that they are trading on ANZAC day. Dropped in this morning and it was nearly full and most of the al fresco area (indeed, they only provide outdoor dining) was occupied at early 8:00am. Lucky to find one reserved table for 9:30am so ask for the permission to have that table for a quick brekkie. Well, the lady (i think she is one of the owners) was very friendly to reassure that I can have that table, so took a seat and tried to work out my order. The combination was a flat white and the Pickle Benny with Salmon. Coffee came in with a refreshing yellow colour cup and then the Benny followed after. Retirement comes with many advantages and leisurely breakfasts are one of them. We frequent many local establishments however over the course of a number of years we have never been disappointed in the amazing fare that emerges from this kitchen. Old favourites are offered up with contemporary twists and the menu offers a broad array of interesting foods to please all palates. Lunches are also sumptuous and the catering menu is very appealing. A popular haunt so consider getting in early or making a booking. This would have to be our favourite breakfast venue out of the very many we have tried.
Great little cafe nestled in Camp Hill! I hadn't been here in ages but went the other day for lunch and ordered the NYC burger (a special for the day) and a chocolate milk shake. What a perfect combo! The burger was flavoursome and well balanced in terms of the pickle contrasting the sweet ketchup and the subtle flavours of the meat, resulting in an all round flavour sensation. The fat cut beer battered chips were well seasoned and their aioli and tomato chutney were so delicious I finished them off before I had finished my chips! Highly recommended.
Esther for many years has provided locals and visitors in the know tasty, filling meals with regular variety and aplomb. Best sitting outside on a pavement, order coffees, milkshakes and delicious cakes and gf slices. The menu has a large selection of food for everyone at reasonable prices. We had the big breakfast, what a delight! All your favourite breakfast food on one plate. The potato cake was to die for and the carrot jam was a nice surprise. Will eat here again.
Have had a few breakfasts here, always very generous serves with big rustic ingredients. Love the Chili Eggs with a Rosti. The breakfast burger with the Holumi is a beast also. Really love being able to order breakfast at lunch!
Fantastic light breakfast this morning at In a Pickle. The bolognese arancini ball was the bomb. Nice coffee and lovely gentleman behind the counter.
