The chaats were disappointing. The papdi chaat was lacking nearly every spice, resulting in a bland and soggy dish. There was barely a hint of yogurt, and the sweet chutney was more sour than sweet, missing any spice or chili flavor. The Gobi Manchurian resembled a large cauliflower tree (it's important to break down the florets and crisp them up), and it was soggy as well! Surprisingly, the flavor was better than its appearance suggested. The samosa chaat was decent—while not exactly gourmet, it did have some identifiable flavors. However, it lacked the crispy edges typical of samosas and resembled more of a potato patty than a proper samosa, making it feel more like an aloo patty chaat ins...
The food here is excellent! I order from this restaurant frequently. I would give it 5 stars, but my last experience was a bit of a letdown. I placed a group order for our office with four different entrees, but the containers weren't labeled, making it hard to figure out who ordered what. Additionally, there were only two boxes for the four rice orders, which was inconvenient since we weren't eating together. While it's not a huge issue, I tried to call and speak to a manager about it, but the person who answered the phone (twice) couldn't provide any information on when the manager would be available or even a name to contact. I suggest that customers who order take-out ask for their food...
I am very disappointed with the food at this restaurant. I chose to eat here because of all the glowing reviews, but unfortunately, everything we ordered was subpar. The butter chicken was barely seasoned, and both the korma and rogan josh were so watered down that they were nearly indistinguishable. The lamb kebab was extremely tough, and we ended up giving it to our dog. Even the kheer was unsatisfactory—it didn't taste like it should and had a sour flavor. Perhaps the dishes are tailored to appeal to a non-Indian clientele, which might explain why the restaurant is still in business, but I would be surprised if any Indian diners truly enjoyed the food here.
This is a takeout only place. When I ordered pickup on UberEats, it seemed like a solid deal $14 for butter chicken, rice, and garlic naan. The food was also ready very quickly. The staff was nice courteous. However, the food was disappointing. The naan was more like a roti. The butter chicken lacked dimension and was far too tomato forward. They seem to have taken the butter part seriously but nothing else the dish was just a heavy, oily curry. The butter chicken rice can feed two people. The 'naan ' can barely feed one person. I had another fantastic experience at Indian Kitchen and it lived up to my expectations! I chose the chicken tikka masala since I know the dish well and wanted to see their take on it. It was absolutely delicious! I opted for the mild spice level but I’m looking forward to trying the medium next time. The naan was equally flavorful. Keep in mind that this restaurant offers takeout only.
I ordered the extra spicy tikka masala and it did not disappoint. Unlike some places that don’t deliver on the heat, this one had fantastic flavor and a perfect level of spice. The prices were very reasonable compared to other spots, and the service was incredibly fast. I also really enjoyed the garlic naan. This has become my new favorite place!
My family and I have been ordering takeout from this restaurant for the past six years, and we've never had a disappointing meal! Please consider supporting this fantastic local Indian spot. Their food is halal, too! I highly recommend trying the butter chicken, chicken korma, and their delicious pakoras. Dietary restrictions: Halal.
