This is one of the original Korean BBQ restaurants in Vancouver, and it still holds a prestigious place in the local dining scene. Depending on your appetite, it can be a good value, but it tends to feel pricey overall, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. The small gamjatang hotpot (which is not served individually) comes with about six generous pieces of meat for around $43, which is reasonable. On the flip side, the $24 per person for a pork-only BBQ combo seems a bit steep. However, the service is quick and very enthusiastic. While Vancouver could learn a thing or two from Toronto's Korean BBQ scene, I believe Insadong still stands out as the best option locally.
Very nice. Super busy, but expected at peak hours on a Saturday. Very high quality meat, japchae also very good. Service very quick despite the business. I’ve eaten a lot of Korean food at various Korean restaurants in the lower mainland and Insadong is by far the best! Speedy service, friendly staff, side dishes are plentiful, and the overall cuisine/bbq is superb! Best Korean cuisine in the lower mainland! Quantity and price are the best in the lower mainland!
K BBQ isn't typically my first choice, as I think Korean food can be quite basic. It's a bit of a trek from the station, but the restaurant features a private room with a lovely ambiance, making it an excellent choice for enjoying Yakiniku with larger groups, especially for team gatherings! The food is outstanding! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$30–40.
Food was good, nothing too crazy, they could have a larger variety of sauces to go with the grilled meat. They were quite fast for changing out the grill which was nice. The ventilation in our room was kinda slow, it got Smokey fast. Parking is tight/packed too. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
