this is a really tasty Indian restaurant, and all the more attractive to be in the small and very pretty opposite of chemainus. we ate here dinner and ordered the chicken curry house speciality, kokoslamm, okra masala, and garlauch naan. all were delicious. we liked above all the chicken sanctuary, which was very well seasoned. the lamb kokosnuss was a bit sweet for our taste, but the lamb was extremely tender and the dish was overall good. the okra (aka bindi) was delicious, like the naan. We also liked very much that the music was Indian, and not any generic rock or anything else. all in all, a very nice opportunity to enjoy an end of the day on vancouver island.
The food was some of the best Indian cuisine I've ever had. Everything we ordered was amazing and gluten-free! Our group unanimously agreed that it was a flavor extravaganza! While it may not have the most stylish atmosphere, it more than makes up for it with outstanding quality and service. I can't wait to return! It was the highlight of our trip to the charming town of Chemainus.
I dined at this restaurant for the first time today, and I must say the service was exceptional. The butter chicken was the best I’ve ever tasted; the sauce was perfectly seasoned, smooth, and incredibly enjoyable. The naan bread was fresh and tender, definitely the best I’ve had. I highly recommend this restaurant—you won’t be disappointed!
We are quite experienced with Indian Punjab cuisine, having eaten at restaurants in many States and cities in USA, Britain Canada. Invitation is amongst the best anywhere! Top quality ingredients, generous portions, big, fluffy naans, friendly staff. Have eaten there twice now and delighted with the place.
Absolutely Phenomenal food! I was wondering if previous reviews would upto our expectations.. and it definitely did! It was like home cooked food but spiced in a way that enhanced the flavours! Hands down the best indian food u have had.. including in India!
Incredible, fresh, and well-balanced cuisine! Fortunately, this is the best place on the island. The quality, atmosphere, service, and the chef's skill in crafting these dishes are truly impressive. I can't believe I had the opportunity to experience this!
This is the best East Indian food on the island hands down. Best dishes ive ever had. I would recommend the garlic ghobi, butter chicken and mango chicken. All are incredible. Humble, amazing place!
So delicious, can't go wrong with whatever you order. The butter chicken is truly wonderful, and the mango curry is amazing, a good balance of flavours. Definitely going to get again.
Comparing these two restaurants there is no comparing the food. Our waitress was the best part of visiting here. Will drive 10 minutes to Ladysmith instead.
