We 're not from the area and saw the signage as we were driving past.. We 're drawn to Irish pubs/restaurants. So, we just stopped in for a quick late afternoon drink. The bartender was very nice, funny, and engaging. Service/staff was top notch, as were the adult beverages. And the decor (in the bar, at least) was Irish and welcoming. I don 't know what it is: I can make a Jameson Ginger Ale with lime at home, but it never tastes as good. And this bartender made it perfectly! This was my first visit to the Irish Inn. Two friends and I were there for lunch in the middle of the week. We had a reservation, but the dining room was not crowded, so we could have been served as walk-in customers. The service and attention to our needs were outstanding. All the staff members were friendly and accommodating. The food was freshly prepared and tasty. We had a variety of luncheon fare. We also ordered desserts, which were delicious. Very much worth the drive to Glen Echo.
After the call to see if there is room for 5 in the covered terrace and said to come now for seating. We arrived and became the terrace said place 5 and needed reservations. We were sent to picnic tables under cannons. The canopy poured water over us and the table. We were drowned. They covered a wine and a beer. .If you are, eat people outside then make sure that customers are safe and protected. The staff was helpful. Before the team lacks skills for customer service

Another hidden gem ? for the books. If you?re craving Irish ?? food ? checkout The Irish Inn at Glen Echo. The food is delicious ? I went with the classic Shepherd's Pie ? Minced Beef, Jameson, Root Vegetables topped with Mashed Potatoes with an Irish Green Salad ? washed it down with a delicious Guinness. On top of the good food, the service is fantastic. My first time here! This was a great place with beautiful decor and great food! The best part for me was hearing a group of Irishmen talking with their rich accent. It made it even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be going back! I had the corned beef and cabbage and a cosmo. My husband had a shepherds pie with salad and bourbon. Both were very good. Not overly priced!
What a great place to have a dinner! We went with a group of four, and all of us enjoyed the food. My burger was delicious! The place is unique used to be an Inn, and has a great ambiance of the historical place, but not overpriced at the same time. You can?t beat the combination of the location, prices, and friendly service. We will come again!
The first time was beautiful. A nice service and a great ambience. Menu is on the pricier page and very eclectic options to choose from. Spacious outdoor seats with heating above each table on the terrace. Local music and entertainment in the pub made it feel we were over the pond! Very popular among older people. Enough to drink again.

The service was a little slow. Fish and chips okay. Could have been better with 5 pieces of fish and less fries for the price. Always offer malt vinegar. Cole Slav recipe must be changed. (Please update your menu prices online.
