We came here for the first time after hearing rave reviews from our neighbors. It was our anniversary, so we were willing to spend extra for a special meal. In general, we were not disappointed. The restaurant is larger than it first appears due to the way the interior space is cleverly broken up. It wasn't crowded the night we went, so the noise level was low, the way we like it. The service was outstanding...very attentive. The entrees we enjoyed were specials that night--petrale sole and ribeye steak--and both were lucious! To add to the festive occasion, we decided to order a caesar salad made at our table before the entrees arrived. It was fun to watch our waiter assemble it. Unfortunat...
One of our favorite places and it has never disappointed. We went for an anniversary and it was outstanding. We started with a drink at the bar (a Cosmo and an Old Fashioned) which were both great. Then we went to our table and had the flaming spinach bacon salad (Les Epinards Au Bacon Flambe), which is prepared table side and is quite a show. This was followed by Medallions of Beef, which was one of the best beef dishes I have ever had, and the Veal Moutarde Flambe, which is also prepared table side. The food was outstanding as usual and the service impeccable, also as usual. This is a great place for a special dinner, or even if you want to go for a nice 2 hour lunch. Sometimes we all need...
We went to lunch for my aunt's Bday. Great service, never had to ask to fill Ice tea or soda glass. They had the fixed price meal for 37 for lunch with a great mushroom appetizer, Sole for main course, and of course Chocolate mousse for dessert. After everyone saw my mousse they order desserts too. For my aunt they gave her ice cream as a surprise with a candle. You really don't get service like that any more. I love going to lunch but make sure you have a reservation. We were there at 11:30 by 12:30 it was fairly crowded.
Two old friends reunited to catch up and celebrate our good health. We both chose items from the three-course lunch menu. One of us had the New York steak (she finished every bite!), while the other enjoyed the Petrale sole (which she also polished off after having a salad starter each). For dessert, we shared two crème brûlées, although I took one home. We both appreciated our waiter, Giuseppe (spelling?), who charmed everyone at his tables with his delightful personality. We'll definitely be back, and we truly mean it!

For years, we've celebrated special family occasions at the Iron Gate, and they've always exceeded our expectations. The staff is both friendly and professional, and the food is exceptional. The atmosphere is lovely as well. Last night, we shared a fantastic birthday dinner for my brother, and we look forward to returning to the Iron Gate for many more years to come.
They still have table side service for Caesar Salad! We went for lunch, and service was impeccable I asked for extra anchovies and they gladly brought some over our waiter was very astute and realized we were in the middle of our conversation and discretely came back later. Would highly recommend for date night or special occasions!
Always an outstanding experience at the Iron Gate. Steve our waiter was fantastic and very attentive, the service is like no other. The food also as always cooked to perfection, everything ws wonderful. We love this place, it's the last of it's kind.
Everyone was incredibly friendly! The food was cooked to perfection, with bursts of flavor in every bite. They even sang "Happy Birthday" to our birthday girl with great enthusiasm. We loved every moment of our experience. Thank you!
