Go on vacation to the jewel of the Caribbean In mid Town of Pinellas County. My reviews of over 2 million must include Mrs Helena's authentic, pleasantly presented, exceptional flavors for an unexpected take out small or large portions of Caribbean finger licking fresh made lunch or dinner items. I only gave food a 4 due to only had the jerk chicken ,rice and bean's, cabbage and fresh hand made Mango meatballs OMG, and allows me opportunity to purpose a visit again on Saturday and do additional taste of possible jerk pork ,curry chicken, curry goat,oxtail, etc, It will take me till then to decide and of course, more Meatballs.. fyi, if you are someone who shares meals ,PS the food is so flav...
Went here with my husband and two friends. We all loved it. HUGE portion sizes at very reasonable prices. Top-notch service. There isn't much of a seating area but they were kind enough to bring out an extra stool so we were all able to sit down. I had the jerk pork. My husband got both the jerk chicken which he said was good and the brown stew chicken which he thought was phenomenal. We all really like their red rice which is cooked with coconut milk. Mixed vegetables were not overcooked like they seem to be at a lot of restaurants. We all loved their hot sauce. Not a lot for vegetarian options, but they are still able to accommodate those with a vegetarian diet.
This is one of my favorite Caribbean restaurants in the Tampa St. Pete area. Miss Helena the owner is always kind and sweet and has excellent Customer Service. Her food is absolutely delicious and is a savory staple in her community. I highly recommend visiting here for the snapper, oxtail, curry goat, or any other Jamaican dish, your heart desires.
Got the Jerk chicken, cabbage, rice and peas. It wasn’t good at all if you want real jerk chicken full of flavor go to Miller's Jamaican Spice Cuisine it’s 5 minutes away and the best Jamaican food I’ve had is Saint Pete I promise Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I just discovered Islands Flavors, and oh my goodness, the food is amazing! I ordered the brown stew chicken, and it was so delicious. I'm thrilled to have found my new favorite restaurant for great food!
I went to the restaurant and was given the delicious mango bread. I donated the additional pieces to a couple in need and they agreed that it was truly wonderful and tasty.
The food was AMAZING and the owners/chefs were all super friendly. I can't wait to go back! Eventually I want to taste everything on the menu!
