I loved my dining experience at Itadaki. The patio would have been a perfect choice for the summer weather but we opted to sit inside the restaurant because we had a baby with us. The seating was very comfortable and the ambiance was great! The lower level had a well-stocked bar with two big screen TVs. Beautiful Japanese art adorned the walls. In terms of food, Itadaki has mastered the sushi pizza! We tried lobster and spicy tuna--both were excellent--lots of fresh lobster and tuna; rice was perfectly crispy; presentation was great. I know what you're probably thinking: sushi pizza? That sounds strange! But trust me, it's not your typical pizza. I tried the salmon tartare pizza and it was absolutely delicious—I've been thinking about it nonstop and craving it ever since. I also had sushi there, which was fantastic, but I initially came for the sushi pizza out of curiosity. You have to go and try it; don't miss out! Seriously, it’s that good. We dined outside at night in a quiet atmosphere, aside from the usual street sounds. I've been recommending this place to friends and even to strangers!
Itadaki has a great location in the heart of Newbury. It's conveniently located amongst great shopping and they have a nice patio when the weather is nice. Their food is overall pretty good. We ordered the Takoyaki, the Kimchi Nabeyaki Udon and the Grilled Sirloin Steak Curry. The Kimchi Nabeyaki Udon is very unique but a bit on the spicy side so be aware in case you don't like spicy foods. We've also had their Katsu curry which is always great!
Food was pretty good however this restaurant had horrible customer service. They didn't let us bring in our boba drinks so we had to chug them outside which ruined dinner. There is probably a reason why they weren't busy on a Friday night. They tried to gaslight us into thinking that they gave us low sodium soy sauce when we asked for it but it was the same super salty soy sauce they gave to us at the beginning.

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I had to here. We ordered an appetizer that came still frozen in the middle. They took it back and gave us a new one, but we felt pretty uneasy about the whole thing. They still included it on the bill too which was pretty ridiculous. The rest of the food was bland and basic, not worth the price. Only good thing was the friendly servers!
I hadn't tried this before. I had ramen, sake, and sushi. The sushi was good, some of the rolls looked really interesting, and I would definitely come by to try more. The ramen was warming, great for this terrible cold weather. It wasn't just noodles in a bowl, there was pork, egg, and other stuff in there too. I would go back. It's a good spot for a fun dinner or an easy lunch.
My dining partner and I were visiting Boston and had dinner here. We enjoyed the food and service was great. My partners favorite part was the fact they had Avalon cab by the glass, a nice wine which we have been fans of. The sushi was yummy and the vegetarian selection was good, with a fabulous cucumber roll!
I got a ramen and it was $23 which was pretty expensive. The broth was good but nothing special and there was not enough of it. The noodles were also kind of over cooked. Overall just not worth the price in my opinion

Ramen and Sushi was tasty, although a bit on the expensive side. I have to say, the flavor was much closer to the authentic miso ramen I had in Japan than at other places in Boston. Also, the artwork was fantastic!
I tried the mango sushi roll, and it was absolutely delicious. The presentation of the food really surpassed my expectations.
