terrible! rojan josh and nigerian chicken was microwave and when we suggested that eating 'warmed up' we had the 'cook' coming to our table to encourage us to see and watch the kitchen! sydney is particularly competitive with Asian cuisine. I don't have to watch the kitchen. my taste buds and my experience tells me from the first bite whether the food is good or not and it is not good at ivan and lizzie 's! whatever was historically good is not what it is today! never again! regarding the African nigerian. I had better in johannesburg South Africa when it comes to nigerian!
very bad, the price and eating do not fit together. $29 for a fried rice?! (with some deep fired calamari rings above. the other dishes seemed more like someone simply threw different Asian vegetables and aromen together instead of creating authentic and acceptable dishes. I was already in many Asian restaurants, from the street kitchen to fine dining. that is literally the worst. they save their money, they don't waste a hundred dollars and a few hours of their lives on this place.
lizzie probably only told one of the other reviewers that he was no longer too loud and insane. it is a restaurant, not your living room. ivan lizzie are kind, come round to say hello after their meal and I definitely recommend the aubergine chips, bark shiny pornstar and the best sticky date pudding that I have ever eaten in my life. highly recommended lizzie even asks obnoxious people to shut down disturb others if other people complain!
ivan lizzie is about 5 years ago, my only regret is that I did not know about this restaurant years ago! this couple has been in business for over 20 years and they do something real. the tariff is fresh and tasty and best described as Asian influenced but not traditional Asian foods as we know. love the friendly feeling that it is also byo.
