I have been coming to this restaurant for years, but the Saturday staff could use more training. Last week, I ordered hot cross buns and was given chocolate ones instead. This week, I asked for plain hot cross buns and was initially told they didn't have any. Eventually, they found some in the back, but they turned out to be wholemeal and very hard, not enjoyable at all. I will give them another chance this week and make sure to check that they are white hot cross buns before leaving the shop. Despite the high prices, the quality is noticeably better.
never going here again! terribly rude staff, interrupt you half through an order to talk to another customer, then when you ask can I continue am snapped at by some poisonous dwarf. used to go here at least once a week and at least half the time the staff were extremely bad at queue management, SLOW, and dis courteous, only stuck it because my poor autistic daughter liked their tuna mayo and eats very little remotely healthy. thanks a lot to your awful customer service, my special needs daughter now has to do without.
Oh dear, it seems like the restaurant still hasn't taken note of the hygiene concerns raised in previous reviews. The staff are seen touching money and then handling the cakes without washing their hands. During my visit, my wife and another customer waited as the staff in front of them continued cleaning without acknowledging them. It wasn't until my wife coughed to get their attention that they finally looked up. The staff appear to be rather slow and inattentive.
If you enjoy being ignored by the staff whose sole purpose is to serve customers, then this bakery is the place for you. There is no clear line system in place, and it feels like you are only noticed if you fit a certain image. Regardless, I will take my business elsewhere where my time and money are appreciated. The customer service here is appalling. It's a shame, as this area deserves better.

Have ordered lunch here many times it never changes staff are so miserable, dare you ask for butter in your roll, the lady who makes them is so miserable and has the worst attitude. Really over priced, and for what your paying they make you feel like you can’t even ask for anything. It’s a joke, your better of at greggs.
Somewhere I could go daily as I work up the road, so many delicious options especially the BLT doorstep sandwiches, chocolate triangles and halo rings. Special shout out to Sue, she’s lovely and makes the atmosphere beautiful.
Went to bakers as I regularly do watch the woman behind in the counter with the dustpan sweep up and then proceed to not wash her hands and then cut tomatoes, surely hygiene should be paramount
Amazing local bakery that’s been around for as long as I can remember. There’s plenty of delicious cakes available, which all taste equally as delicious
