Last Night was the first time I went to this bar and grill for my birthday and mothers day celebration! My best friend recommended it as she went often and I was curious to experience it. As a pescatarian I was a bit nervous to see if they would be able to have a good selection of dishes, to my surprise on the bottom of the menu they have signs that cater to vegetarian, gluten free or their favorites. They are so friendly and you don't want to be nasty, so that's why I'm going with a 2 star instead of a 1. A wonderful day to sit on the patio and I managed to snag a great table, even better when I got some coasters to stop the wobbling!In short the service was not very good. Extremely friendly, but just not good. I ordered the Texas Roadkill Chicken Sandwich, with a Cajun chicken breast and guacamole.I guess there was not much traffic on the highway the day I visited and roadkill was at a premium cuz there weren't much chicken in my sandwich.Skimpy indeed, $15 for a 2 ounce chicken sandwich. Not the stuff hungry men dream of. To make matters worse the Cajun had gone missing too, partner in crime with the roadkill I guess.Not a hint of anything that remotely suggested Cajun. It was a Friday night, my wife and teenage kids were going to the cinema next door and decided to go to Jack Astor's.It took 30 minutes before we were seated( We were told 15 minute wait) and then about an hour for our main course to get there.We had to rush to eat and just made the movie theatre in time for our shows.The funny thing is, there were always available tables and they had 3 lovely ladies at the entrance greeting customers.The place had smoke in the air from the kitchen, poor ventilation.My recommendation, if you have 2 hours and want to smell like smokey BBQ ribs, this is the place.Our server Kevin was great and very attentive.Jack Astor's needs better ventilation, more waiters,...

July 18, 2017. We were invited to get a nice free dessert for my Spouse's birthday. I had the Classic Burger and Fries and my Spouse had the Quesadill, Poulet with a side salad. For dessert he had the Biscuit Brownie which was big and delicious, free for his birthday. We were served by DANIEL S. He gave us excellent service always going the "extra mile" for us. This is a family restaurant. It is in Gallerie des Sources in Dollard des Ormeaux.
Had dinner here one night. Tried to get in at Del Friscos but it was packed with a waiting list so I walked over to Jack Astors. Staff were nice and very quick. I had the Sesame Chicken bowl. It was good but I would have liked the vegetables to be cooked more.
Food and service are great. The only reason we dont go as often as we use to...is the **** noise from the music....its way to loud. We can hardly hear each other speak..the atmosphère is already loud and to make matters worse they play LOUD music.
One day I will try something else on the menu. I always have the chicken fingers, they are big, crunchy and tasty and with the hot sauce, it is even better. Side of ceasar salad and a beer. Here you go lunch. Done.

This place was busy, but the service was still stellar. Food quantity/quality was good, prices were reasonable, and they have happy hour specials. What more could you ask for?
The lobster crab dip and Steak fajitas are awesome !! Service was great too ! I plan on going back weekly
