Jac Le Coq! Need I say more?This place serves fried chicken, fried chicken sandwiches with fries an various other sides like corn or macaroni salad. In my eyes, there aren't many chicken places that can compete with KFC (or with Korean friend chicken but Jac Le Coq is definitely up there, or perhaps even beyond. I got the Pickle Jack (Look Morty, I'm a sandwich! to go, and it was still warm when I got home 10 minutes later in -6 weather. Personally, I think the chicken could use more salt but I'm a smoker so my taste buds are not at their full strength. This restaurant is one of the friendliest and most vibrant spots to enjoy delicious fried chicken. While it may not have the highest level of sophistication, it more than compensates with its staff, especially Robin Evelyn—who truly care about the restaurant and their customers. It's one of my favorite places in Wellington to spend a late evening, enjoying a consistently satisfying meal in a laid-back diner atmosphere. And a special shout-out for the Gen X playlists featuring classic '80s hits!
They don't seem to have much regard for Uber delivery drivers. They prioritize their own internal orders, which leaves the delivery drivers drained. Even though she arrived home first, the wait time felt like it took forever—almost ten years and five working days!
