I've always had a fantastic experience at this delightful and lively restaurant, which offers convenient parking. The warm Connecticut Lobster Rolls are absolutely delicious. I've tried the crab cakes and the renowned fish sandwich, both of which were exquisite. My family members enjoyed the fish tacos and various pasta dishes, all of which were excellent as well. The side dishes also impressed me; the coleslaw, fries, and corn on the cob were all very well prepared. I've dined in and ordered takeout, and both experiences featured exceptional service. There's a lovely outdoor space and plenty of seating inside as well.
I was on the hunt for lobster rolls when I discovered Jack's, which had received great reviews and seemed like the perfect spot. I decided to use their online ordering system, although I noticed that pickup times were restricted to the hour or half-hour. I chose a 12:30 pickup for lunch, but later realized I actually needed it at 12:45. I called after placing my order and was pleased to find they easily accommodated my request. I ordered two lobster roll platters: one came with regular fries (an additional $2), and the other had sweet fries.
Decided to visit for lunch overall my experience wasn?t bad. My father got the lobster roll and said it was good (8/10). I was in the mood for pasta so I went with the Lobster Fettuccine Alfredo and was disappointed but I will say the pasta itself was cooked well. The sauce was bland for my taste and the lobster was rubbery. The French fries didn?t disappoint. I will say that the service was nice our waitress was friendly and so was the manager. A new place to enjoy the best seafood Let's be honest, if you go to Short Hills as a customer you will always expect the best quality at either restaurants or stores. Well, Jack Lobsters Shack quite impressed me for several reasons. Bimash was our waiter, he was helped by Josh, two young kids with a big smile on their faces that somehow made my friend and I feel the warmed and kind environment we were surrounded by. Hands down the most delicious seafood. 10/10 highly recommend and I will be back for more!! Service is exceptional and location is beautiful. I enjoyed many dishes like the ceviche, garlic shrimp, lobster bisque, mudslide dessert and more. This here is the angry lobster and let me tell you! Incredibly tender and deliciously seasoned. If you?re looking for a treat or a place to be a regular- look no further.
Nice decor and presentation but really long wait. 2 hours after being seated, we finally got food. Cod sandwich and pan seared shrimp was yummy but the lobster steam pot was too bland for my taste. Would give it another chance once they fix their timing issues?
Absolutely fantastic takeout on a chilly, wet night! The place was bustling, but our order was ready right on time. The only problem was that we didn't order enough! The lobster roll sandwich and tacos were incredible! We'll definitely be back!
