One thing I discovered about Jamaica Blue was that they had a slight difference in the menu for each of their branch. Went here for my weekend brunch, and we decided to order special items on a mini menu. My partner got toasted sourdough bread, with the salsa spread of avocado, tomato, onion, and lemon. It was topped with bacon and a couple of poached eggs. For me, classic breakfast plate with hash browns, bacon, poached egg, and pan fry tomato. Today i visited and thought i would try something different. The vegetarian with poached eggs. Unfortunately it was more on the bland side, aside from the halumi which was the tastiest. the mocca was not consistent more on the weak side. service is always great here. free newspapers to read. i would continue to go back. edited dissapointed when i was not even acknowledged coming into the cafe . not served within 10mins. not happy. understaffed, disapointed. at the input I was treated by the workers I ordered a large breakfast and a medium cappuccino, first I noticed that the padded seats and chairs were worn a little, but the detail in the portion of the meal made for them. the serving of the coffee had a good note with a glass of table water, something that rarely happens in these days, although the small biscuits a bit soggy, but it was ok. the meal was great, but a bit expensive and the sausages were mini, but I was overall satisfied. I'd go back.
Busy cafe no doubt. But the staff make sure every customer is taken good care of. Very polite staff and urban ambience. One good hot chocolate this was. I also tried the chai latte and the ice chocolate frappe. Regular but acceptable. The big brekkie is quite filling and has sufficient quantity. Don't normally stop at franchises of any sort for Brekkie as I believe they lack creativity. And I think my reasoning is justified as once again the menu is more of the same. The food was done well with good presentation and the coffee was well balanced. If anything despite not being creative at least they did serve what they had to work with good
good coffee, but eating is only moderate. had not quite like my blat on croissant, some parts were burned, it was not fresh. it was dense, more like a bagel, nothing like a tasty, buttery croissant. fast service friendly staff. beautiful atmosphere where you can relax to enjoy your coffee paper after your shopping or catch up with friends.
Brook farm Museli...Not surprisignly the calorie intake for this dish was lower than the bacon and egg sandwich at 1680kJ. The crunchy muesli went nicely with the bush honey and natural yoghurt. The dried fruits added to the sweetness of the dish and the macadamia added a beautiful nutty texture.
in and ordered a latte and a slice of cheesecake that were both very good. service and personal are fast and friendly. only the bottom is that the white chairs with woven floors are quite unpleasant, especially for people with back injuries or conditions. good place to sit and relax after a day.
