The owner is a sweetheart so I hate leaving negative comments; however, maybe they will help improve the food. The potato salad had way too much mayo; the fries were hard as a rock and did not taste like any fry I've had; the corn pudding was odd at best. The bison burger was good but way too thick for my personal taste. It's an adorable little place and the area was lovely, but after driving for nearly 2 hours to get there, was super disappointed in the food.
What a beautiful hidden gem! We were visiting from St. Louis and stumbled upon this place by chance, and we couldn't be happier! It was exactly what we were looking for that day. The live music was fantastic, the outdoor seating area was great, and there was a good selection of wine. Plus, there was plenty of space for the kids to roam around. If you're in the area, this spot is definitely worth a visit!

I had a fantastic experience with the cherry wine at this restaurant, and I wish I had gone there sooner. Mary, who was serving the wine, suggested trying some food, but we decided to pass for now. This is a really cool and unique getaway destination. Whether you choose to visit it as a specific destination or stop by while staying at Big Bone State Park, you won't be disappointed. The food is delicious, and there are plenty of fun activities for the entire family!

Beautiful location. We enjoy going to the wine festival every year. This year the weather was great! Could use some better food options and this year the vendor participation was low.. but still a great time.
