Jangling Jack's has taken over where Bootleg Bar was serving up meatballs. Delicious ones, but since I only went once or twice, it kind of serves me right if they close down for lack of business. But Jack's was nicely busy when I met a friend here for drinks on Friday night. I had an Italian Pinot Grigio, not too bad, and followed it with one of their signature cocktails, which was delicious. My pal had some wine and a cocktail with a lot of gin and a tiny roasted marshmallow. We were particularly impressed with the service, always checking in to make sure we were OK, but not pushy; informed recommendations on the drinks. Top notch, really.

Ehrfürchtiger Service Ehrfürchtige Leute! Treten Sie in eine andere Welt in Jangling Jacks! Das Essen ist etwas, das Sie nirgendwo sonst mit einem persönlichen Home-Stil finden. Happened to be a Record Fair and Sausage Sizzle on when I visited on a Saturday. Busy. I managed to get myself the last seat at the bar. Great atmosphere. Friendly bar staff. Friendly locals. Great sausages! Had a couple of drinks and thoroughly enjoyed myself. So much so I went back later that night as I wanted to show my wife the great bar I had found. Highly recommended!

Awesome service awesome people! Step into another world at jangling jacks! The food is something you won't find anywhere else with a home style personal touch, the music is an eclectic taste full of classic tunes that will set you in the right mood whatever day of the week! 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area who wants something a little different.
We stopped here to get some after dinner drinks not sure what to expect, but it was definitely worth it. Although, the mixed drinks are a bit steep (~$20), they take their craft very seriously. Great blend of flavours and tastes. I won't recommend anything because everyone is different, but I tasted (not drank!) 4 and they were all good.
Warning: the cocktails are so good you'll keep ordering them to try new ones. Loved the lavender wine. Food top class. Anchovies with polenta, fried artichokes, Lebna and heirloom carrots and the fig and watercress salad were highlights. Highly recommend.
Came here on first night in kings cross. Sat at the bar, very busy bar with friendly staff who gave advice on where to go to get craft beers in Sydney. Had one cocktail there which was rather expensive but worth the experience!

Three of us sat at the bar for cocktails and conversed with the world's greatest bartender for several hours.Sorry I can't remember his name but he made us feel at home and had great tips on Sydney. Lively and friendly place
Best: Great place for dates, it has a great hipster/madmen style it would be packed every night if it were in the Melbourne CBD. Worst: It's 100m from where the ladies of the night live.
