What a fantastic discovery! We almost missed this restaurant due to the sign on the roadside displaying the wrong name—2 Amigos. We decided to stop in for lunch, and I ordered the sopes al pastor, which were absolutely delectable! The portions are generous, and the flavors are incredible. The sopes and tamales are made fresh in the back and served hot, bringing back memories of street food in Mexico City. I highly recommend giving them a try! Unfortunately, they were out of horchata during my visit, but I will definitely return to have it. The restaurant's atmosphere is also delightful, featuring charmingly colorful chairs!
Two weeks ago, my wife and I faced a catering emergency. We had to find a way to feed 40 people when our original plans fell through unexpectedly. I walked into Janitzio's at 8:30 on a Friday night, and by 9, we had everything figured out. The next day at noon, I picked up 120 flautas, along with rice, beans, chips, and salsa. The party was saved, and the food was absolutely delicious. I can confidently say that this is my new favorite restaurant. The incredible entrees are prepared by the nicest family, and I wholeheartedly recommend Taqueria Janitzio.
Went to this place several times when it originally opened and always loved it. Have been back twice since the new ownership and it's just not the same. Had dinner there last night. There were just two of us, we each ordered a combo meal and fish tacos. Our food was delivered to each of us at different times over about a 20 minute period. The small amount of rice and beans with the combo meals was ridiculous. Likely won't be going back.
We waited more than half an hour for a couple of burritos and some tacos, which is incredibly slow service. When I got home with the order, it looked like someone had just tossed everything into the container—rice spilled everywhere, and the meat was all over the place. We won’t be returning.

This place is a hidden gem off Western Avenue and might just be my favorite Mexican restaurant in town. The torta is outstanding, and the rice and beans are full of flavor—not bland like at many other places. I’ll definitely be coming back several times!
Known as 2 Amigos, this restaurant offers exceptional food with a wide-ranging menu! They serve breakfast all day and boast an impressive variety of sauces. The staff is friendly and attentive, contributing to a clean, welcoming, and peaceful atmosphere.
My family and I have been coming here at least once a week for at least the past 6 months. It's like a hidden gemstone. .right in the middle of Roseland! Highly recommended.
The food is outstanding, the staff is wonderful, and the ambiance is cozy and inviting. I highly recommend trying the sopes, and the cheese dip is also fantastic!
