My best friend and I went to Japú last night at 7:30 and had a fantastic experience. There is designated parking in front of the building which made it convenient for us. Our server was friendly and spoke both English and Spanish. It was not very busy since it was a Wednesday, which was expected. My friend ordered the maracuya sour cocktail and ceviche, while I opted for the lomo saltado and the strawberry/ginger lemon juice. We also shared the chicken causa. We absolutely loved everything!! Both drinks were delicious - the sour cocktail had a nice balance of flavors and the lemon juice was very refreshing (although a bit pricey). I didn't try the ceviche myself, but my friend couldn't stop...
One of the best sushi rolls I have ever had. My mom and I couldn't believe how delicious everything was. I've been wanting to try this place out for a while now and I'm so glad I did. The chicken empanadas were soft and the meat was juicy. The seasoning was delicious on everything. The Gyoza was also yummy. Loved that they had reserved spaces just for the restaurant that were off street. The waitress was so friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back again. We had lunch at this restaurant. We were one of two parties there on the weekend. We ordered empanadas, sushi, and beer. The chicken empanadas were excellent, but the beef ones were not as good, as they had a ground beef base. The sushi was average, and we also tried a rice dish that was okay. The restaurant was very clean and had a pleasant casual atmosphere. The service was good. We wished there were more sushi options without chicken on the menu.
False advertising your California maki has King Crab when it’s clearly just imitation crab stick is pretty low. I won’t get into how loud the Spanish speakers including your wait staff was in the bar. What a horribly loud, annoying atmosphere on a Wednesday night. Excellent service! The staff was wonderful, even singing a birthday song for us and seating us 45 minutes before closing time without any rush.
