On Sunday night my family and I including my 3 year old and 1 year old granddaughters and my 83 year old mum went to this pub on a whim. What a great decision. This pub had the best atmosphere,the decor was very interesting, the staff whom where mostly Irish where excellent. We had the best old fashioned meal and enough to feed even the biggest of appetites. Background music was awesome and they had fires raging. It was the best night and I can't wait to take my husband. It's an excellent little pub. It was rocking and very well priced. Loved it
You know the tacky , fake , leprechaun Irish bar that never has any Irish person in it that has zero atmosphere ?This is the exact opposite of that! FACT!This place is always guarenteed to be good craic and has a rock solid Irish clientele that are always out to enjoy themselves , young and old. Great place to go before an event or out at the weekend or for dinner or for a quiet pint on a wed lunch time . Fantastic traditional Irish pub where your always welcome and a little slice of Ireland in Perth.I love this place. No bad experiences as yet!
It's got it's own parking space which can accommodate nearly 20 cars.Most of the week it's got mellow live music. A properly set up & themed Irish tavern (could easily be one's go-to place)An elaborate food menu, variety of drinks on tab, can & bottle.It's got an outdoor smoking area conveniently adjacent to the pub facing the parking & big enough for 30 people to puff & drink.This was our favorite place when we lived near the city, we still make the trip to give the place a visit every now N then.
We came in for lunch and stayed for a beer or 4. The Boxty Burger was a little bland and only saved by the gravy. The O'Reillys steak sandwich was much better, both $19.50.There were 4 Irish beers on tap, as well as a number of local beers.The walls are covered with history and kept us going for quite a while.Worth a second trip. If you enjoy roast pork with thick slices of tough meat and half cooked vegetables then this is your place otherwise order something else off the menu. Went there on Sunday with a number of family members for lunch and all 5 who ordered the roast pork were disappointed. Will think twice before going back for a Sunday Roast.
The food is always good with hearty pub staples such as steak or fish and chips. The wine list is remarkably good value. The restaurant has wonderfully cosy ambiance and friendly service; making this a place I have been returning to for 10 years. Its also home to arguably the best Guinness in Perth.
spot on for a traditional roast dinner! Yorkshire puddings, pork crackling and amazing gravy. Feels like your actually in Ireland, with the decor and staff to match! Best roast we have had in Perth at a good price! ... Could improve on the desert choices but can't fault the food.
Unreal steak, Guinness pie and liver and bacon main courses, very friendly staff and amazing wine, very warming and relaxed atmosphere. Great night all round, a really homely feel of Ireland in the heart of Perth, thank you. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
I had been looking forward to having their liver and bacon and when it came out it was covered in gravy. I couldn't see me meal in the pool of gravy!
