My friends and I headed to the Sussex County Fairgrounds for an event, and when it became dark and chilly, we decided to warm up in the car and make our way back to Brooklyn. On the way home, we spotted the vibrant lights of a diner and couldn't resist stopping in. We barely made it through the door before a friendly host guided us to a table, which was impressive given how crowded it was. I noticed there were even a few local police officers dining there, along with many families.
Our host, Valeria, handed us a menu that featured an incredible variety of options, including several vegetarian dishes. I was immediately impressed. I started my evening with a delicious latte that was beautiful...
The food at Jefferson Diner is overpriced and underwhelming. The home fries were awful, and the grilled cheese had just one thin slice of cheese. I paid $6 for three tiny strips of bacon. The pancakes were extremely dry, and when we asked for Nutella, we only received two thin lines drizzled on top. I don’t get the hype around this place—it’s pricey and simply not good. Honestly, I wish I could get a refund. Spending $75 on breakfast here was the worst decision. Maybe their Food Network feature boosted their reputation, but the experience didn’t live up to the billing. I won’t be returning—I prefer my local diner instead.
I hate writing reviews unless I have to but this place deserves it. The Jefferson diner used to be awesome and a great place to grab a bite until a few years ago there was a noticeable change. The prices got jacked up out the roof, the service got much worse, and the food is mid at best. The place got greedy and glides by now by their old reputation and the fact they were on tv a couple times. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time here. There’s plenty of other better restaurants in the area.
Worst meal in a diner! I work over the street, but live 40 minutes away I often tend to the waiters who shop with us. With all the reviews and the thumbs of guy fieri I thought it would be amazing, but the disco friars were burned and the burger bunge was really stale I drove 40 minutes to try this place, and it was terrible it looked so bad idk as the waitress thought it was advertisement ok to bring it to me guys need to go back and take back their logos for his show of me never have to go back

I took my aunt and my second cousin to this restaurant today, and we had a great experience. The food was delicious, and the hostess was friendly and welcoming. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is that our waiter, Brandon, wasn't always available when we needed him. That said, he is really nice and very personable. I would recommend asking for him if you visit this restaurant. The food was fantastic—I had a Philly cheesesteak sandwich that was excellent. (Image attached.)

The restaurant has an interesting atmosphere and is quite busy, perhaps a bit too much. The food was just average, with the Eggs Benedict looking almost artificial. The service was good, but I personally prefer a place that feels more genuine and less flashy.
An incredible diner with amazing food and outstanding staff. We stopped in on a road trip they got us in and out in a timely manner. This is a real deal diner delivering an iconic experience. We will be back for sure. ?
