My noble chums and I stopped by here last Saturday for an early even by our standards) lunch around 11:30am. This was a recommendation from one of the aforementioned chums, who lives fairly close by and is familiar with these Hopatcong seasonal hot spots. Definitely a cute area; I've been to the Sparta/Lake Mohawk area a few times, but that's pretty much the extent of my experience around here. I'd love to know how people found this place in olden times before Google Maps was readily available; it's basically non stop curvy one lane roads from Route 15 to the parking lot. The spicy fried chicken sandwich was not chicken breast as stated in the description. It was a breaded chicken patty (processed chicken). Reading the description and assuming a place like this makes food from scratch, I was very disappointed. The server asked the kitchen and they said it was a breaded chicken breast. The photos show otherwise. The kids grilled chicken (actually chicken breast) was better than the proceesed patty I paid $17 for.
Great place with great food and on a perfect location. I've been going there since childhood and this iconic restaurant stays with the times, updating decor and remaining current. Dock hands help you land your boat on this sometimes tricky and often rocking part of the lake. We regularly order takeout and they bring it right to the boat.
We had Beth as our cocktail waitress outside on the deck and she was amazing!! She keep checking on us with all her tables! We observed Alex checking in on the boats and helping the customers come in and out! They both have awesome customer service skills and we will definitely be back!!

My sister took me here for lunch. Absolutely stunning! Service was excellent, food was delicious, but the view was the highlight! We had a table under the covered patio right near the lake. I highly recommend the Lake Breeze mocktail, the Eggplant Caprese sandwich and the Carrot cake!
love the newly renovated windlass! bar is alive, service is amazing and eating was delicious, great menu options! we went there for our 24-year anniversary and my 55 birthday, definitiw to celebrate our favourite place! I can't wait to drive with the boat soon!
Everyone was very polite, and we ate outside, it to me Was magical we went from an evening scorching sun a sprinkle to a beautiful sunset and evening it was awesome. I would recommend it as a romantic setting to everyone or anyone it was truly beautiful.
Peyton was a great server. Best calamari we ever ate. Salmon potato pancakes were delicious. All our dinners were great nice portions for the price. While crowded, we were still able to carry a conversation which can be hard in many restaurants.

I did a small wedding here and I have to say this is a really cool place. All the cool stuff they have on the wall or display is all boat related. Food was good. Nice view of the lake. I'd recommend coming here
the restaurant was courteous. our table was originally in a very loud part of the restaurant near the bar. the staff has provided us a table in a less loud area. the food was perfectly cooked and delicious.
