Wanted to get ice cream after visiting the Columbus Zoo, and this came up along our way home. It was a great find! The ice cream was delicious and the waffle cones were so good! They have some interesting and unique ice cream flavors. They also have Dairy-Free ice cream! This is something you rarely find. We tried it and it was so amazing! Going back next time we are in town!
Great ice cream. However, I hate being asked to tip the employees for them scooping ice cream. This makes me wonder if Jenis doesn’t pay well enough, or if tip culture has gotten so out of control that employees here feel they deserve extra for just doing their job. There isn’t any special service here, just scooping ice cream and that’s it….
They had a really long line, but they were very helpful when it was my turn. They had two vegan flavors: Texas sheet cake and lemon bar, and I think both of them were made with coconut milk. Both of them were so good! Will definitely visit again soon.
Ice cream is really tasty and unique. The service was fantastic and helpful. The shop was super clean as well. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. The only reason for 4 stars is the price paid for the amount received.
TBH I have a cocoa and coffee sensitivity (just I know), but these are the only options they had so that I will suffer because it is worth it. Texas Leafcake kills me, but I still love it.
If you visit Columbus without trying Jeni's then you missed the finest of the finest. Note that you are now able to taste flavors before ordering, COVID made them suspend it.
Jenis is a good pass time with seasonal new flavors that always draw me. I'm always down for a gooey butter cake and salty caramel combo!
Sooo good, always. Great selections and tried the Ted Lasso flavor, Biscuits with the Boss, this time. YUM! Will always return.
