I haven't been here in a few years, and ice cream isn't usually my dessert of choice. However, since I live right down the street, I decided to give it a try. The staff is always super friendly and they frequently offer samples! The enticing aromas at Jeni's are unmatched by any other nearby place. I asked the kind lady for her favorite flavors for a waffle cone, and she recommended the strawberry buttermilk, which has a sweet yet tart taste from the buttermilk. Unfortunately, they only had one scoop left of that. I tried it and remembered how much I loved the Brambleberry Crumble. Thinking I might enjoy the chocolate flavor, I opted for the milk chocolate. Jeni is one of my fav places to get ice! Especially this place was great. It is conveniently located at Eastland Ave in East Nashville. There is a huge parking right in front (which is difficult to get in Nashville in general). There are tons of seats both inside and outside, which is also a huge plus. When we got in, it smells ah-mazing! They made fresh waffle cones at the time and it was so cool to watch. They had a lot of flavors to choose, as usual, but currently do not allow taste tests by COVID. My favorite thing to get is the 3 Scoop Sampler, so I can try several different. As soon as you walk through the door, you're greeted by the inviting and warm scent of fresh waffle cones. The delightful aromas seem to shift and change, enhancing the experience. The staff is friendly and eager to describe each flavor, offering samples along the way. One standout flavor was the brown butter; it was absolutely out of this world. I opted for a single scoop, which featured both brown butter and coffee, served in a waffle dish. Every flavor was perfectly blended, and the waffle added a delicious hint of saltiness that complemented the ice cream beautifully. They also serve handcrafted Boylan soda and have a lovely seating area to enjoy your treats.
Love this place! First time being here... you walk in and it smells like freshly baked cake. This is high quality, unique ice cream. They make the waffle cones on site, and you can taste the difference! I got salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks (great) and coffee with cream and sugar flavor (also great). Their fresh waffle cones are an absolute must! Very light and sweet. Varied and delicious flavor options as well. I personally tried the triple scoop with Darker Than Chocolate, Salted Caramel, and Homemade Honey Vanilla and cannot recommend that combo enough. Very courteous service and an agreeable price point.
This place serves delicious ice cream, but the bowls are a bit on the small and pricey side. However, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for a treat, this is a great spot! Feel free to check out my review and photos, and follow along on my adventures!
Always a nice treat after dinner. They are a bit expensive but delicious. They have a new rewards program which is awesome and if you are a member you get a free scoop on the first day of summer
